Photographer, born in New York in 1954, a huge lover of feminine figure,  Steven Meisel is without doubt the greatest aesthete of contemporary fashion photography. His portraits remind the nineteenth-century Nadar's elegance and the Helmut Newton's refinement. They are little poems of beauty and fashion.
His shoots are always balanced, faultless, but lively, they are the emblem of an untouchable elegance.Meisel has begun his career as an illustrator, his love for drawing is fundamental to understand his art. His pictures are not simple shoots, they are out and out drawings on film.Any time I look at Meisel's works, I feel like I've been rushed in a muffled and marvellous world, in which art is the winner.
