Alcatel has launched Flash 2, a camera centric smartphone in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,299. The Alcatel Flash 2 looks impressive and design elements are fresh although a bit chunky.
The Alcatel Flash 2 is fitted with a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and tagged alongside a 2GB RAM. The Flash 2 offers 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports an additional 128GB.
On the imaging front the Flash 2 settles with a 13-Megapixel primary camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus and a f/2.0 aperture. Digital zoom stands at 4x and the camera unit comes with a 'realtone' flash module that facilitates naturally lit subjects and helps in avoiding over exposure. The smartphone boasts of a 5-Megapixel front camera and 13 Megapixel camera on it.
The Alcatel Flash 2 connectivity features including 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart starting October 27th in Volcanic Grey color variant.
The Flash 2 also marks Alcatel's departure from the OneTouch series and it seems that the company is shuffling their mobile lineups. Although we do have some camera centric smartphones in the sub Rs 10,000 price range, the addition of Flash 2 will increase the options for the buyers.
