Alex Britti, uno dei chitarristi leader in Italia, dal vivo al Water Rats di Londra il 25 ottobre con il suo ultimo cd "Bene così".
Alex Britti è sempre stato uno straordinario chitarrista, ha girato l'Europa dividendo il palco con alcuni dei più grandi artisti blues come Rosa King, Buddy Miles e Billy Preston. Nel 1997 ha firmato con la Universal Music e pubblica il suo primo album, It.pop, che è stato premiato con 3 dischi di platino.Nel 1999 ha vinto il Festival di Sanremo nella categoria Nuova Proposte con la canzone "Oggi sono io", che Mina - una leggenda della musica italiana - ha cantato due anni dopo.Quindi una rapida serie di eventi e successi: il Pavarotti & Friends, dove ha suonato la chitarra con Joe Cocker e durante le performance di Pavarotti, un lungo tour, un nuovo album (La vasca, Universal Music 2000), un nuovo Festival di Sanremo e un nuovo disco di platino, premio per La Vasca. E quello che lui considera il suo più grande successo: quando Ray Charles ha suonato un assolo per lui al Festival di Sanremo.Alex è soprattutto un chitarrista e al fine di promuovere l'album 3 (2003 Universal Music) è andato in un lunghissimo tour con il suo progetto "kitarra, voce e piede", dove si trovava da solo sulla palco con la sua chitarra. Festa (2005 Universal Music) è un album molto più intimo, dove il blues e lo sfondo jazz è molto più forte che nelle opere precedenti. Sempre più spesso ha collaborato con grandi artisti, come ad esempio il produttore di fama mondiale Geoff Westley, con Darryl Jones - il bassista di Miles Davis, Eric Clapton e gli Stones -, Davide Rossi - violinista e arrangiatore di Brian Eno, Robert Fripp e dei Cold Play - e Paco Sery - batterista di Joe Zawinul: tutti hanno suonato in 23 (2009 universal Music), l'album pubblicato dopo l'MTV Unplugged (2008 universal Music).Nel 2011 ha composto la colonna sonora di Immaturi, un film di Paolo Genovese. La canzone e il video sono inclusi nel Best of e Best of Video Collection (2011 Universal Music).Nello stesso anno Rizzoli Pub. ha pubblicato Nelle mie corde, un libro / dvd dove Alex racconta le sue passioni musicali e svela alcuni trucchi di chitarra.Nel 2012 con un famoso musicista jazz, Stefano Di Battista, ha fatto un progetto live acustico, "Mo Better Blues", suonando standard jazz. In studio di registrazione, mentre si lavora al nuovo album, ha ideato il "Jimi Hendrix Experience", un omaggio a una leggenda del rock, suonato in trio con Mel Gaynor e Ged Grimes, il batterista e il bassista dei Simple Minds. E con Mel, Alex ha registrato Bene Così (2013 It.pop, distrib. Artist First), che contiene i sentimenti privati, la necessità di un nuovo sogno lungimirante, pensieri, commenti, stati d'animo raccontati in un modo semplice e diretto e suonato con la solita energia di Alex.

Alex Britti has always been an outstanding, confident and extraordinary guitarist, since he toured Europe sharing the stage with some of the biggest Blues artists such as Rosa King, Buddy Miles and Billy Preston. In 1997 he signed with Universal Music and released his first album, It.pop, that was awarded 3 platinum discs.In 1999 he won the Sanremo Festival in the New Proposal Category with the song "Oggi sono io", which Mina - a legend in Italian music - sang two years later.A quick series of events and successes followed: the Pavarotti & Friends, where he played the guitar in Joe Cocker's and Pavarotti's performances, a long tour, a new album (La vasca, Universal Music 2000), a new Sanremo Festival and a new platinum award for La Vasca. And what he considers his biggest achievement: playing solo in Ray Charles' set at the Sanremo Festival.Alex is above all a guitarist and in order to promote the album 3 (2003 Universal Music) he went on a very long tour with his "Kitarra, voce e piede" (Guitar, voice and foot) project, where he was alone on the stage with his guitar. Festa (2005 Universal Music) is a much more intimate album where the blues and jazz background is much stronger than in the previous works. More and more often he collaborated with great artists, such as the world-known producer Geoff Westley. Or with Darryl Jones – Miles Davis', Eric Clapton's and Stones' bass-player -, Davide Rossi – Brian Eno's, Robert Fripp's and Cold Play's violinist and arranger - and Paco Sery - Joe Zawinul's drummer: they all played in .23 (2009 Universal Music), the album released after the Mtv Unplugged (2008 Universal Music).In 2011 he composed the soundtrack of Immaturi, a movie by Paolo Genovese. The song and video are included in the Best of and Best of Video Collection (2011 Universal Music).In the same year Rizzoli Pub. published Nelle mie corde, a book/dvd where Alex tells about his musical passions and reveals some guitar tricks.In 2012 he and a world famous jazz musician, Stefano Di Battista, made an acoustic live project, “Mo better blues”, playing standard jazz. In the studio-recording, while working at the new album, he conceived the “Jimi Hendrix Experience”, a tribute to a legend of rock, played in trio with Mel Gaynor and Ged Grimes, the drummer and the bass-player of Simple Minds. And with Mel Alex recorded Bene così (2013 It.pop, distrib. Artist First) containing private feelings, the need for a new farsighted dream, thoughts, comments, states of mind told in a simple and direct way and played with Alex' usual energy.
