La gonna è un capo di abbigliamento prettamente femminile, studiato appositamente per esaltare le linee della donna e conferirle fascino soprattutto quando cammina e si muove. Nel tempo si sono disegnate gonne di tutte le lunghezze e le larghezze. La gonna a vita alta è nata negli anni 50, per dei motivi legati principalmente alla praticità dell'indumento. Oggi, a distanza di quasi sessant'anni, la gonna a vita alta torna prepotentemente di moda per dare al lookun tocco di raffinatezza.La gonna inoltre è un capo estremamente adattabile alla sperimentazione di forme e materiali e tra i  tessuti più utilizzati di recente troviamo lo chiffon ed il tulle, generalmente prodotte in tinta unita o fantasia. Le gonne in tulle e chiffon sono state per lungo tempo utilizzate per la danza classica e lo sono tutt'ora, ma negli ultimi mesi questo materiale è stato sfruttato per realizzare gonne a ruota, corte o lunghe, sia dritte che a balze. Indossate da un pubblico generalmente giovane, data la loro "ricchezza" e particolarità, queste gonne donano grazia e femminilità a qualsiasi look e si adattano abbastanza bene a diversti stili, dallo street al bon ton, ma vanno abbinate in modo adeguato.

Tulle and chiffon skirts have been used for a long time for ballet and still are, but in recent months, this material was used to make skirts , short or long , straight and  flounced. Worn generally by a young public, seen their "wealth" and particularity, these skirts give grace and femininity to any look and fit well enough to many different styles, from street to he bon ton , but need to be combined in an appropriate way.
