L' esaurimento per  trovare l'oggetto perfetto per le strenne natalizie, si avvicina sempre più e, il nostro essere vorrebbe solo partire per una lunghissima vacanza ai tropici o, in una qualsiasi landa desolata dell'emisfero terrestre.Così, infagottate, infreddolite, col naso gocciolante mentre, strepitate urlando esclamazioni parecchio colorite, con il povero scellerato che, vi ha fregato l'unico parcheggio libero nel giro di chilometri, vi accingete a compiere un altra pericolosa traversata, nelle vie vestite a festa, piena d'insidie e trabocchetti.
Per l'ennesima volta dovrete riuscire a superare prove inimmaginabili, senza venire travolte dalla mandria umana che si muove a passo di marcia, con tanto di prole al seguito e gerbillo compreso,  carica di sacchi, pacchettini e ciarpame multiplo, ingloba nella sua traversata qualunque tipo di forma di vita, trascinandovi lontano chilometri e chilometri dal negozio prescelto; le commesse appiccicose e tutte miele, con gambe lunghissime, sorriso smagliante, vocetta stridula e istruite a chissà quale arte oscura, vendono alle povere ed ignare clienti sempre all' ingrosso e mai al dettaglio, cosi che quest'ultime si ritrovino con quantità industriali di orripilanti oggetti di alcuna utilità .Ed ecco che vi appare davanti il sacro tempio, il negozio preso d'assalto da ogni genere di cavalletta di sesso femminile che possieda una qualsivoglia borsa firmata, vi avvicinate circospette, dispensando colpi a destra e a manca, ed ecco lo scaffale tanto agognato, il regalo perfetto ma... incontrate la vostra Waterloo, sotto forma di un cartello con su scritto: Tutto Esaurito! Una tazzona di cioccolata calda è d'obbligo, la dieta non lo scoprirà!
