CALL THE TUNE CONTEST, WINNER INTERVIEW
RICORDATE WOWCRACY, IL SITO WEB CHE METTE IN CONTATTO DESIGNER E BLOGGER DA TUTTO IL MONDO? Qualche tempo fa ho partecipato al concorso CALL THE TUNE OUTFIT CHALLENGE, in collaborazione con Vogue Talents, Glamour e Fondazione Pitti Discovery. La sfida consisteva nel proporre un proprio outfit per l’autunno/inverno 2014-15 con l’hashtag #cttoutfit. La foto più votata su Instagram avrebbe vinto un’intervista sul sito e alcune collaborazioni di cui vi parlerò più avanti.
Ho optato PER UNO DEI MIEI OUTFIT PREFERITI, DOVE INDOSSAVO SALOPETTE, CROP TOP ED ECOPELLICCIA (RICORDI??)…lo adoro perchè mixa il elementi diversi tra loro creando un risultato inaspettato e molto energico.
La mia foto ha ricevuto più di 5000 like e sono emozionata perchè LA VINCITRICE SONO IO :D

Descriviti in 3 parole.
Solo 3? Ehm, mi riesce difficile essere concisa, ma ci provo. Dunque…direi curiosa, allegra e un po’ testarda.
Quando hai deciso di aprire il tuo blog?
Mi è sempre piaciuto conoscere persone da tutto il mondo, chiacchierare, scambiare opinioni e idee … All’inizio avevo un blog personale, dove ho incontrato, negli anni, persone speciali e alcune è nata una bella amicizia anche nella vita reale. Poi, ho iniziato a fare video su YouTube. Nel gennaio del 2013 ho deciso di creare un fashion blog, non so esattamente il motivo: amo la moda, ovvio, ma c’era qualcos’altro…forse per avvicinarmi un po’ di più al mondo del blogging, forse perchè sono un po’ eccentrica, forse semplicemente perchè amo il fashion, o forse è un mix di queste e altre ragioni. Dopo qualche mese, ho iniziato a lavorare per una compagnia assicurativa e non avevo più tempo per seguire il tutto. Nel luglio del 2013 sono stata licenziata (vendere polizze non fa proprio per me) e, a quel punto, ho deciso che avrei fatto di tutto per diventare una blogger professionista, o almeno qualcosa del genere, insieme all’altro lavoro, la traduzione. Già, sono traduttrice e fashion blogger e amo questo mondo!
Dove trai ispirazione per i tuoi outfit?
Da tutto! Il mondo intero è secondo me una valida fonte di ispirazione. È una delle cose che amo di più del mondo della moda (e dell’arte in generale): questa sorta di energia, come fosse una linfa, che prende un po’ ovunque. Come a noi serve ossigeno per vivere, l’arte (in questo caso il fashion) ha bisogno di ispirazione per andare avanti e questa può arrivare dal cibo, dalla musica, dalle immagini, dai luoghi, momenti… da tutto ciò che ci può emozionare e ispirare!
Chi è il tuo fotografo di moda preferito?
Amo Yvan Rodic, aka Face Hunter. Le sue foto non sono solo di moda, ma parlano anche di luoghi in giro per il mondo e frammenti di vita quotidiana. Mi piace la sua capacità di catturare l’attimo…come se la sua essenza fosse in quello scatto…è un’emozione fisica, quasi a toccarla con mano. È davvero emozionante. E poi, i suoi scatti di moda sono meravigliosi!
Come descriveresti il tuo stile?
Non mi piace dare etichette al mio stile, perciò ti rispondo con la parola “street style”: penso che si possa vedere come una sorta di contenitore di stili e ispirazioni. Prima ho detto che mi ispiro a tutto e lo street style mi permette di essere ciò che voglio: un giorno rock, il giorno dopo bon ton, quello dopo ancora sportiva e quello dopo ancora un misto. A quetso proposito, amo mescolare l’elegante con lo sportivo, come un vestito elegante con le sneakers, o pantaloni sportivi con blusa e tacchi…colori, stampe, forme e tessuti differenti si incontrano e creano un nuovo stile, vivo e pieno di emozioni. Lo street style permette questo e anche di più.
Se dovessi paragonare il fashion blogging a un animale, quale sceglieresti?
Non è facile rispondere. Elemento chiave del fashion blogging (e della moda in generale) è l’eleganza, che mi fa pensare a due animali molto sinuosi, anche se in modo diverso: il cigno e il leone. Il primo è più fiabesco e regale, mentre il secondo è seducente, sexy. Il leone è anche competitivo e ambizioso, come il mondo dei blog oggi: molti vogliono emergere anche se non è facile. A volte però trovi chi è felice di aiutarti e diventare un amico fidato, come un cane. Un’altra caratteristica importante è la libertà: come un gabbiano, che può volare ovunque, il blogger è libero di esprimere il proprio stile e le proprie idee a modo suo. Ehm, so che la domanda chiedeva UN animale solo, ma penso che sia quasi impossibile, in quanto la moda è arte e l’arte è troppo ampia per essere etichettata.

REMEMBER WOWCRACY, THE WEBSITE WHICH LETS KEEP IN TOUCH DESIGNERS AND BLOGGERS ALL OVER THE WORLD? Some time ago I took part to the CALL THE TUNE OUTFIT CHALLENGE, in collaboration with Vogue Talents, Glamour and Fondazione Pitti Discovery. The contest was about proposing an own outfit for the Fall/Winter 2014-15 with hashtag #cttoutfit. The most liked photo on Instagram would have won an interview on the site and some collaborations.
I chose ONE OF MY BEST OUTFITS, WITH DUNGAREES, CROP TOP AND FAKE FUR JACKET (YOU REMEMBER??)…I love it because it’s a mix of different elements and the result is unexpected and very energic.
My pic took more than 5000 likes and I’m so excited as I’M THE WINNER :D

Yourself in 3 words.
Only 3? Sorry, I’m not good in summarizing, but I’ll try. So… I say curious, cheerful and a little stubborn.
When did you decide to open your blog?
I’ve always loved to stay in touch with other people from all over the world, chatting, discussing ideas and opinions … Initially, I had a personal blog, where I met, in years, special people and someone is still my friend in real life too. Then, I started to make videos on YouTube. In January 2013, I decided to create a fashion blog. Don’t know exactly why…because I love fashion, of course, but there was something else…maybe to get a bit closer to the world of blogging, maybe because I’m a bit eccentric, maybe simply to share my passion for fashion, or maybe it’s a mix of these and other reasons. After few months, I started working for an insurance company and I had no time anymore for my blog. In July 2013 I got fired (selling policies was not really my destiny) and, finally, I decided that I would have tried everything to become a pro blogger, or at least something like that, together with my other job, translation. Yeah, I’m a translator and a fashion blogger and I love this kind of stuff!
Where do you find inspiration for your outfits?
I take inspiration from everywhere! I think that the entire world is a valid source of inspiration. It’s one of things I love most of fashion (and, of course, art in general): this power to get something from all around us, as lymph. As you need oxygen to live, art (in this case fashion) needs inspiration to go on and you can take it from food, music, places, pictures, moments… everything that could emotion and inspire you!
Who’s your favorite fashion photographer?
My favorite photographer is Yvan Rodic, aka Face Hunter. His photos are not only about fashion, but also places around the world and fragments of life. I love his way to capture the moment…it’s like the pure essence is all in that shoot and that’s so physical, almost as you could touch it with your hands. It’s very emotional. Then, the fashion part is terrific!
How would you describe your style?
I don’t like to strictly classify my style. That’s the reason why I can answer to this question with the term “street style”. In fact, I think that the street style is a kind of container of different styles and inspirational stuff. I said before I take inspiration from everywhere. Street style permits me to be who I want to be: one day rock, on day bon ton, another day sporty and another one a mix. Speaking of, I love to mix and match elegant and sporty mood, like sneakers with elegant dress, or sporty pants with blouse and heels…different colors, prints, shapes, fabrics meet each other and create a new mood, alive and full of emotions. Street style allows all of this and even more.
If you had to imagine fashion blogging as an animal, which animal would be?
Not easy question. Key element of fashion blogging (and also fashion) is the elegance, which reminds me two animals very stylish and sinuous, but into different ways: the swan and the lion. Swan’s elegance is more fairy-like, more royal; lion is charming, even sexy. Lion is also competitive and ambitious, as today fashion blogging: a lot of people want to emerge in this world and that’s not easy. But sometimes you find who is happy to help and become a loyal friend, like a dog. Another important element is freedom: like a seagull, which can fly everywhere, a blogger is free to express her style and ideas in her own way. Sorry, I know that the question says ONE animal, but I think that it’s almost impossible to find only one, as fashion is art and art is too wide to be strictly classified.
