DENIM Shirt & GIPSY Skirt

 

Although denim and blue jeans have become an American classics, their origins are actually totally European.

The fabric called "denim" was being made in France, in the town called Nimes, from which “de Nimes”(of Nimes) and then Denim and the first “BlueJeans” have been used by sailors in the italian navy of Genoa, from wich “blue de Gênes” (blue of Genoa),and afterwards Blue Jeans!

…e pensare che il Denim ed il Blu Jeans, che evocano nella mente di ognuno di noi un classico americano, hanno origini tutte europee!! Infatti il tessuto Denim veniva prodotto a Nimes in Francia, da cui “de Nimes” e poi Denim, mentre i primi pantaloni in tessuto denim, i mitici blu jeans, furono indossati da marinai Genovesi, il nome deriva infatti da “blue de Gênes”, ovvero blu di Genova!
