For the Milano Design Week, ToyWatch
payed homage and choosed Kartell,
for over 60 years synonymous with Italian design the world over, to
transform its one-brand store in Via Montenapoleone. Though they met for the
first time, the two brands share many common traits: research and innovation, a
versatile use of colours and plastic materials, taking icons and redesigning
them to give them a contemporary appearance. For the occasion, some of the most emblematic
products Kartell’s philosophy and design have been put near ToyWatch’s creations: the lamps Bourgie and Take by Ferruccio Laviani, the chair La Marie, the eclectic La Bohème and the chest Ghost Buster, all by Philippe Starck, as
well as the cube Optic by Patrick
Jouin.
In occasione del Salone del Mobile, ToyWatch ha reso omaggio e ha scelto Kartell, da più di 60 anni sinonimo del design italiano nel mondo, per trasformare il suo spazio monomarca di via Montenapoleone. Due marchi che si incontrano per la prima volta ma profondamente legati da caratteristiche comuni: ricerca e innovazione, utilizzo di colori e di materiali plastici, interpretazione di icone per un design contemporaneo. Per l’occasione, alcuni tra i prodotti più emblematici della filosofia e del design Kartell sono stati accostati alle creazioni di ToyWatch: le lampade Bourgie e Take di Ferruccio Laviani, la sedia La Marie, gli eclettici La Bohème e il cassettone Ghost Buster, tutti di Philippe Starck, nonché il cubo contenitore Optic di Patrick Jouin.
