Even London Will have Its Menswear Shows

After the traditional Milan and Paris men's show, London is launching a dedicated Menswear Fashion Week too, set to launch this June, just before the others.
"This is a fabulous initiative, and one that will undoubtedly draw even more attention towards London this year," Dylan Jones said. "Whether you're involved in sport, fashion, media, retail, entertainment or tech, or indeed any industry, London is the place to be in 2012."
London Collections: Men, as the event will be called, will run from June 15 to 17 - placing it right at the heart of London's Olympics. The showcase - which will include the traditional shows and presentations - will also include some cultural events as part of London's Fashion 2012 programme to tie in with the Games. After this June's debut, the event will take place each January and June alongside Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, with exact dates yet to be confirmed. Anche a Londra Sfilerà l'Uomo
Dopo le tradizionali sfilate maschili di Milano e Parigi, Londra non rimane a guardare e lancia la sua prima settimana della moda maschile che debutterà a giugno, prima delle altre.
"Questa è una bella iniziativa, e questo porterà ulteriore attenzione su Londra quest'anno," ha dichiarato l'editor di GQ, Dyan Jones. "Sei sei coinvolto nello sport, nella moda, nei media, nel retail, nell'intrattenimento, nella tecnologia e anche nell'industria, Londra è il posto dove essere nel 2012.
London Collection: Men, così verrà chiamato l'evento, andrà in scena dal 15 al 17 giugno, nel cuore delle Olimpiadi di Londra. Il programma prevede oltre alle tradizionali sfilate, altri eventi che si collegheranno ai giochi olimpici 2012. Dopo il debutto di quest'anno, le sfilate si terranno sempre prima di quelle di Milano e Londra a Giugno e a Gennaio, con le date ancora da confermare.
