Fidati delle giornate così,
dei pomeriggi in pigiama spesi a fare niente, su un letto in periferia,
dei piatti che restano sporchi nel lavandino perché non ci va,
del riposo concesso quando ne hai bisogno,
del ridere come scemi nell’ascensore tornando a casa,
fidati dello strano, che insieme siete strani meglio;
fidati del “fai tu” e del muoverti come a casa tua, che tanto tutto è concesso
fidati del gelato buono mangiato al sole di un parco qualunque
fidati di quel lato del letto, il “tuo”, sempre lo stesso.
Fidati dei silenzi pieni di felicità, della calma profonda, della grazia implicita.
Fidati delle telefonate in mutande, degli scherzi scemi, delle stranezze comprese.
Fidati della sensazione di essere al tuo posto, esattamente lì, dove dovresti essere.
Fidati dei fatti e mai delle parole.
Fidati di chi non promette mai, ma mantiene sempre.
Fidati delle cose semplici, e felici, e reali…
Fidati delle cose persistenti.

Trust in days like this,
in afternoons in pajamas spent doing nothing, on a bed in the outskirt,
in dishes that remain dirty in the sink, because we are not in the mood,
in the rest granted when you need it,
in the laughs like idiots in the lift, coming back at home,
trust in the strange one, ’cause together you are strange better;
trust in the “do it yourself” and in the ability to move like in your own house, because everything is permitted
trust in a good ice cream eaten in the sun of any park
trust in that side of the bed, “your”, always the same.
Trust in the silences full of happiness, of deep calm, in the implied grace.
Trust in the phone calls did wearing underwear, in the silly jokes, in understood oddities.
Trust in the feeling of being in your place, exactly there, where you should be.
Trust in the facts and never in words.
Trust in who never promises, but always keeps.
Trust in simple, and happy, and real things…
Trust in persistent things.
