Giorgio Armani: "Don't Compare Me to Gucci or Prada"

During a press conference in the Milano Fashion Week the Italian designer Giorgio Armani said: "When we read the economic results of a company we feel unbalanced, because we feel that others make higher turnover with accessories. Fashion is more complicated than that. You cannot compare it. I do fashion, garments, you cannot be compared to Gucci or Prada, they also do well done pret a porter but should be clarified that their big turnover are made especially on nice shoes and bags."

La moda e' piu' complicata. Non si puo' paragonare. Io faccio moda, abbigliamento, non si puo' essere messi a confronto con Gucci e Prada, che fanno anche loro del buon pret a porter ma sarebbe da chiarire che i loro grandi fatturati sono fatti soprattutto con belle scarpe e borse''.
