La prima fermata della mia vacanza nelle isole Ionie della Grecia, dopo una giornata di navigazione, è stata Paxos: un'isoletta minuscola (ed anche abbastanza turistica) vicinissima a Corfù, con un mare del blu più intenso si possa immaginare! Al largo sembrava di farsi il bagno in uno zaffiro!
Qualcosa di vagamente simile l'avevo visto solo alle Eolie, ed allora non avrei mai pensato che avrei potuto trovare un mare ancora più bello.
A poca distanza da Paxos c'è Antipaxi, un piccolo gioiello verde di una trentina di km praticamente disabitato a cui si può arrivare solo se se ha la barca (motivo in più per sceglierla per una vacanza da quelle parti), con una spiaggetta di sabbia bianchissima ed un fondale incredibile!
vale la pena fermarsi qualche giorno a Paxos per esplorare (sempre via mare) le coste lì intorno:sono piene di grotte meravigliose ed angoli stupendi dove tuffarsi!
The first stop of my trip in the Ionian Islands of Greece, after a day of sailing, was Paxos: a tiny island (even if quite touristy) close to Corfu, with a sea of the deepest blue you can imagine! Seemed to take a bath in a sapphire!
I'd seen something vaguely similar only in the Aeolian Islands, and then I never thought I've ever could find a more beautiful sea.
A short distance from Paxos there is Antipaxi, a small green jewel of thirty miles practically uninhabited that you can get only if you've got a boat (another reason to choose it for an holiday in these places), with a beach of white sand and an amazing backdrop!
It's worth stopping in Paxos for few days to explore (always by sea)the coasts around there: they are full of wonderful caves and beautiful corners where you can dive!
