Gabriele Luongo the CEO of Fashionestasi and I Maria Waleska, went to see the collection autumn-winter 2012- 2013 of the fabulous designer Fausto Puglisi who is originally from Messina. The location was perfect, as soon as we got inside of the apartment/open space, we could appreciate the jackets worn by the mannequins, models wearing some items of the collection, journalists and some costumers who were browsing around all his proposals. Where you asking to yourself the inspiration of the collection? Well, in this case he just mixed up the American sportswear, collage knitwear with the Greek- Roman culture. The designer himself explained to us the concept of the jackets made in leather, just as they call it “fetish-leather” that had sagged shoulder pads, with details just like Blade Runner for the sheath dresses, leopard hell embroidery and dizziness alternate with moments of black armor. Later on, we start talking with the exotic and kind Masha (right hand of the designer) she has told us that the idea of the collection was the meeting between a gladiator and the unique fashion photographer Helmut Newton , with a touch of neoclassical influences. The designer’s work is 100% Made in Italy, their leather goods production takes place directly in Florence, the clothes are made in Modena while the embroidery comes from Lodi. Gabriele Luongo il fondatore di Fashionestasi ed io, Maria Waleska, siamo andati a vedere la collezione autunno-inverno 2012-2013 del favoloso designer messinese Fausto Puglisi. Situata in una bella location, c’erano delle giacche esposte addosso a dei manichini, modelle che indossavano alcuni capi della collezione, la stampa e dei clienti che apprezzavano tutte le sue proposte. L’ispirazione della collezione è stata l’american sportwear, collage knitewear mischiato con la cultura greco-romana. Lo stesso stilista ci ha spiegato, il concetto delle giacche fetish-leather che avevano delle spalline insellate, con dei dettagli alla Blade Runner per i chiodi e tubini, leopard inferno ricami e vertigine si alternano a momenti di nero blindato. Ci raccontava l’esotica e gentilissima Masha (braccio destro di Fausto Puglisi) che l’idea della collezione era l’incontro fra un gladiatore e Helmut Newton, con delle influenze neoclassiche. Il lavoro del designer è 100% Made in Italy, la loro produzione di pelletteria si svolge direttamente a Firenze, l’abbigliamento a Modena mentre i ricami vengono realizzati a Lodi.
