Se vi va, vi ricordo di seguire la mia rubrica sul portale Tentazione Makeup!ENGYep, it's been a while since my last post - almost two weeks! - but I have a good reason: I was busy planning my - ours, actually - homecoming in Italy. Make a decision wasn't easy at all, but in my opinion you have to pick up an opportunity when you see one and - this time - opportunities brought us back here. London stole a piece of my heart, the place that gave me the most during the year I've spent there, but now a new life adventure is starting and and I just want to live this thing until the end. Our wish is to be back in London in some months, but we have to see what will happen in here. My heart beats so loud, I'm full of controversial thoughts - including the regret for having missed the Royal Wedding in live action! - but at the same time I'm curious about my future. We'll see - even if "don't ask, don't get" still will be the best advice I've ever got. Ok, now stop with the meaningless bla bla bla. At the airport, just before my flight, I've delight myself with one of the things I love the most: discovering and trying new perfumes - naaa, who would say that?! - cause airports duty free are really one of a kind, speaking about scents. Normally, this is my routine: I spry a bit of perfume on the mouillette, I write down the name so I won't forget, then - on my notebook - I start writing all the impressions that suddenly come to my mind, together with the raw materials I'm able to recognize. Then I do the same after an hour, to taste the heart notes, and then again after five or six hours, for the base notes. Even if I already know that, I'm always impressed of how much a perfume can change during the time, to become something totally different: a fragrance that I've really liked at the beginning, could turn into something I absolutely dislike a few hours later. Because of this, it is extremely important to wear a new perfume at the very least for a day before buying it!According to my last reviews, without any doubt the winner is the newbie Un Jardin Sur Le Toit by Hermés: it's not that I'm impressed of that, cause Hermés never misses a shot speaking about perfumes, but this time I've been really delighted. It pass through all the note trials, starting with a fresh and light beginning, and the main note was green tea. Suddenly after, here it comes May rose, the remade naturals and synthetic molecules that build up the scent of wet ground and freshly cut grass: if you close your eyes, it seems like you're deep into a lush garden, in an early summer chilly afternoon. It's a true olfactory masterpiece, created by Jean Claude Ellena in person. Here it is, the situation that you can see at the airport...- the hat upon whom the mouillettes are lying it's my boyfriend courtesy! - here it's an everlasting work in progress! If you want, don't forget to follow my column on the web magazine Tentazione Makeup!
