HTC One A9 Launched in India

HTC has released a New Phone HTC One A9 in India.

HTC One A9 will be available in India priced at Rs 29,990 on Snapdeal. The One A9 heralds with a balanced set of features including the fingerprint scanner, Android Marshmallow and a microSD card slot that can accommodate 2TB.

This is the same phone which was earlier ridiculed for the resemblance in design with the iPhone 6 and yet it did manage to impress some with its high end specs and features. HTC seems to be betting on both the Tier 1 and the Tier 2 cities to achieve the sales target.

The One A9 is fitted with an edge-to-edge 5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D corning Gorilla Glass 4 and the body is finished in Metal. Folks who have had a chance to check out the phone said that although the phone resembles iPhone in the pictures it sure did feel a tad bit different when held in hands. On the imaging front, the One A9 boasts of a 13-Megapixel primary sensor along with imaging centric features like Optical Image Stabilisation. The front camera shapes up in the form of an UltraPixel sensor. To shutterbugs' delight, HTC has included a PRO mode which allows users to capture the RAW images and also exercise a greater control over the camera features.

The list of features just doesn't stop here as the One A9 also comes with a Fingerprint scanner and supports HTC Rapid Charger 2.0. The device draws its power from the all new Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Although HTC has released two variants of the One A9 globally, it will only be selling the 32GB Storage version in India. And not to forget the microSD card which is rated to accommodate a staggering 2TB of memory. On the software front the phone will be treated with the latest version of HTC Sense along with an Android Marshmallow update.

The price of Rs 29,990 seems to be good but the fact that even Nexus 5X has been treated to a price slash and is currently retailing below Rs 25,000 could thwart the One A9. That being said, I feel that the One A9 excels as a value for money proposition and if you are in a lookout for a premium mid-range phone then the One A9 will probably make it to your top three if not the final choice.

If you want to buy the One A9 it is required to register on snapdeal website in the time window from December 9th to December 14th. The actual sale will however be conducted from December 15th onwards. The phone will retail in Carbon Grey and Pearl silver colors.
