Il CERN dallo studio della String Theory alla Dark Matter DOPO Sheldon Cooper!!

Sheldon: Sto scrivendo un appello al senato accademico affinché mi permetta di muovere dallo studio della Teoria delle Stringhe.

Leonard: Come sta venendo?

Sheldon: Giudica tu. “Cari stimati colleghi. Come sapete, ho richiesto di cambiare campo di studio. La mia decisione è stata presa – ritengo – nel miglior interesse della scienza. Quando lo desidererete sarò felice di spiegarvelo in termini che potrete capire”.

Sheldon: I’m writing an appeal to the faculty senate so that I can move on from string theory.
Leonard: How’s it going?
Sheldon: You tell me. “Dear esteemed colleagues. As you may know, I have requested to change my field of study. My decision to do so is, I believe, in the best interest of science. At your convenience, I’d be happy to explain it to you in words you’ll understand.”

Sheldon: Ecco, sto lavorando da mesi per ottenere una teoria della materia oscura che non comporti un decadimento dei protoni. Spero di riuscire a finalizzarla ottimizzando l’ambiente lavorativo. Come vedi ho portato il te a perfetta temperatura per essere sorseggiato. Indosso pantaloncini a righe vellutate per tenere il sedere tostato. E, questione non meno importante, ho migliorato questo ispirante poster di gatto con il volto rassicurante del fisico rinnegato Richard Feynman.

Sheldon: Well, I’ve been struggling for months to come up with a theory for dark matter that doesn’t make protons decay. I’m hoping to finally tackle it by optimizing my work environment. See I’ve got, my tea is at the perfect sipping temperature. I have fleece-lined boxer-shorts to keep my tushie toastie. And last but not least, this inspirational cat poster improved with the reassuring face of physics renegade Richard Feynman.

Bernadette: Parlando di nuove carriere, come vanno le cose con la materia oscura, Sheldon?

Sheldon: Oh, confesso che è il momento più eccitante nella storia di questa disciplina.

Bernadette: Perché? Cos’é successo?

Sheldon: Ho cominciato ad occuparmene.

Bernadette: Speaking of new careers, how are things going with dark matter, Sheldon?
Sheldon: Oh, I have to say it’s the most exciting time in the history of the field.
Bernadette: Oh, what’s going on?
Sheldon: I started doing it.
