Io e la leggenda dell'arco / I and the legend of the arc

Quello che vedete in queste foto è ciò che si trova girovagando nei vicoletti tra il Corso Umberto e Piazza Mercato (di cui vi ho mostrato la chiesa qualche giorno  fa). Un arco quattrocentesco che mi ha incantata al primo sguardo: l'arco di Sant'eligio. Su di esso è raffigurato uno splendido orologio e due piccole teste incise. Una leggenda, narrata anche da Benedetto Croce, racconta che questo arco fu costruito per ricordare un sopruso subito dalla giovane Irene Malabri che era caduta nelle grinfie del duca Antonello Caracciolo... praticamente è stata costretta a sposarlo in cambio della liberazione di suo padre. Questi uomini quando vogliono riescono ad essere proprio insopportabili!!!Ma noi donne alla lunga, vinciamo sempre... infatti lui è stato decapitato (hahaahha) e lei ha un campanile che la ricorda.

Non ho potuto fare a meno di scattare qui le foto di questo post, e spero che vi piacciano... perchè io le trovo molto suggestive, specialmente conoscendo la leggenda!!Il mio outfit di oggi è composto da una lunga e svolazzante gonna nera, camicia bianca abbottonata interamente ed un maglione rubato dall'armadio di mio fratello (prima o poi mi ucciderà, me lo sento!)... chi mi segue sa che è un vizietto che non perdo mai!!!Bene... aspetto, come sempre di conoscere i vostri pareri sul mio look e sulla location! Conoscevate questo angolino della mia splendida città??Baci BaciValentina
