Karl Lagerfeld, Guest Editor for a Day. This is What Came Out...

I'm very curious to know what designer think of certain singer, people, politics and their personal life. Karl Lagerfeld had a chance a few days ago to be the guest editor at Metro World News in Paris, giving his views on the day's top stories and this is what he said. 
"I prefer Adele and Florence Welch to Lana Del Rey, but as a modern singer she is not bad," Lagerfeld said. "The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice. Del Rey is not bad at all. She looks very much like a modern-time singer. In her photos she is beautiful. Is she a construct with all her implants? She's not alone with implants."  And this is what he thinks of Obama's re-election: "Yes he does [deserve to be re-elected], especially because of Mrs Obama," he explained. "I'm a big fan of Mrs Obama - and her face, I think, is magical. He would not be there without her. Mrs Obama is not a fashion statement, but she has other things to do. My favourite thing about Mrs Obama was when she was asked if her skirt was not too tight and she answered 'Why you don't like my big black ass?' I want [Barack] Obama to win because there is nothing better anyway, and especially because of her." On his personal life was more cryptic and on the topic of sex, he said, "I'm not very much interested in that... I think sex is an overrated subject", and upon being asked when he was last in love he responded, "I don't know. I like freedom." When it comes to talk about countries he has no limits and says: "If I was a woman in Russia I would be a lesbian, as the men are very ugly. There are a few handsome ones, like Naomi Campbell's boyfriend, but there you see the most beautiful women and the most horrible men."on Italians and Greeks he says "they have really disgusting habits." As for the Queen of England he says: "She looks a little bit like her grandmother - a more smiley version." He said the monarchy was good for tourism because it brings in a lot of money, adding: "It's totally unnecessary, but it's pleasant. Sono molto curioso di sapere cosa pensano gli stilisti di certi cantanti, persone, di politica e della loro vita personale. Karl Lagerfeld qualche giorno fa ha avuto l'opportunità di essere l'editore ospite per la rivista Metro World News di Parigi, dando il suo punto di vista sui vari argomenti di attualità nel mondo ed ecco cosa ha detto.  "Preferisco Adele e Florence Welch a Lana Del Rey, ma come cantante moderna non è male." Ha detto Lagerfeld. "La cosa del momento è Adele. Lei un po' grassa ma ha una bellissima faccia e una voce divina. Del Rey non è niente male. Assomiglia molto ad una cantante moderna. Nelle foto sembra molto bella. Ma è rifatta con tanto di protesi? Non è l'unica ad averle." E questo è quello che pensa della rielezione di Obama: "Si lo merita [di essere rieletto], specialmente grazie a Mrs.Obama", ha spiegato. "Sono un grande fan della signora Obama - e la sua faccia, penso sia magica. Non sarebbe li senza di lei. La signora Obama non è un icona della moda ma ha altre cose da fare. La cosa che mi piace di più di è quando le fu chiesto se la gonna non fosse troppo aderente e lei rispose: 'Perchè non ti piace il mio grande culo nero?'. Voglio che vinca Obama perchè non c'è niente di meglio d'altra parte e specialmente grazie a lei. Per quanto riguarda la sua vita personale è stato più criptico e sull'argomento sesso ha dichiarato: "Non sono molto interessato in quello... Penso che il sesso è una materia sopravvalutata." E quando gli viene chiesto quando è stata l'ultima volta che è stato innamorato risponde: "Non lo so, amo la libertà". 
Quando si va a parlare di alcuni paesi non ha limiti e dice: "Se fossi una donna in Russia sarei lesbica, perchè gli uomini sono brutti. Ce ne sono alcuni molto belli, come il fidanzato di Naomi Campbell, ma li vedi le donne più belle del mondo e gli uomini più orribili." Per quanto riguarda gli italiani e i greci dice: "hanno delle abitudini disgustose." Per concludere, sulla Regina d'Inghilterra ha detto: "Assomiglia un po' a sua nonna - una versione più sorridente". Sulla monarchia ha dichiarato di essere un buona per il turismo perchè porta molti soldi, aggiungendo: "E' totalmente inutile, ma è gradevole. Perchè non avere una monarchia? Così almeno la gente può sognare".
