As you know I spent a great day at the V&A a couple of days ago at the V&A to make up for a postponed fashion shoot. As well as drooling over the permanent fashion collection, I also wandered through a couple of temporary displays as part of the British design season at the V&A. In the room dedicated to Japan (ground floor) there is a display dedicated to the influence of Britain upon the distinct Japanese Lolita fashion. From Victorian inspired looks through Alice in Wonderland, the Gothic and Punk movement I found the display really informative as well as deeply beautiful.
Come sapete ho passato una giornata fantastica al V&A un paio di giorni fa per rimediare ad uno shooting che mi e' stato spostato all'ultimo momento. Oltre ad ammirare la collezione permanete di storia della moda, ho gironzolato anche tra un paio di allestimenti temporanei, parte della stagione che celebra il design britannico al V&A. Nella stanza dedicata al Giappone (al piano terra) c'e' un allestimento dedicato all'infuenza dell'Inghilterra sul look Lolita. Da outfit ispirati al periodo Vittoriano attraverso Alice ne Paese delle Meraviglie,il movimento Gotico e Punk, ho trovato l'allestimento molto istruttivo e veramente bello.
