Have you ever heard about the shoes paradise? Yes or No It doesn’t matter I’ll tell you the answer, Is has a name and It’s “Lario Como” In the magical atmosphere of Milan Fashion Week, Gabriele Luongo and I were invited to Lario Como’s showroom, the prestigious brand that was founded in 1898 by Gerolamo Saibene but since 2010 belongs to the Korean group E-Land, as well they are the owner of Lorenzo Banfi, Sutor Mantellassi e Nebuloni. We had the opportunity to meet the designer of the brand Andrea De Vitis who explained to us the process of footwear, their proposals and the technology used to achieve effects on the leather of the finished pieces. The collection autumn- winter 2012- 2013, was inspired by some of the most important theatres around the world such as: Broadway, Covent Garden, Fenice and Bolshoi. The location was well- organized divided in different rooms, each one had the name of one theatre in the entrance and it was pretty clear the differences in terms of both the colors and the style of the accessories, the common denominator was the main textile material which was leather and the fact of the tailoring combined to the shoes and bags. According to the designer De Vitis, the brand has a great heritage, considered a rich source of research for the collections, plus the dye job on the pieces of leather already finished, as a result they get sort of masterpieces crafted. It’s important to mention that “Lario Como” was selected to produce the footwear line of prestigious brands like: Giogio Armani, Jil Sander, Etro, Trussardi, Allessandro Dell’Acqua and more. Si o No, non importa ve lo racconto io, si chiama “Lario Como” Nelle magiche giornate della settimana della moda milanese, Gabriele Luongo ed io siamo stati invitati allo show room del prestigioso marchio “Lario Como” che è stato fondato nel 1898 da Gerolamo Saibene e dal 2010 fa parte del gruppo coreano “E- Land”, che a sua volta possiede i marchi Lorenzo Banfi, Sutor Mantellassi e Nebuloni. Abbiamo avuto la grande opportunità di scambiare due parole con il talentuoso designer italiano Andrea De Vitis che ci ha spiegato il processo di lavorazione delle calzatura, le loro proposte e la tecnica applicata per (r)aggiungere degli effetti sulla pelle delle sue creazioni finite. La collezione autunno-inverno 2012- 2013, è stata inspirata a diversi teatri del mondo quali: Broadway, Covent Garden, Fenice e Bolshoi. La location era organizzata in diversi saloni, ognuno aveva il nome di un teatro e dentro si poteva apprezzare la differenza del concept degli accessori, sia per quanto riguarda i colori, sia per lo stile. Il comune denominatore è stato l’utilizzo della pelle e la sartorialitá abbinata alla calzatura. Secondo lo stilista De Vitis, il marchio  considerato di nicchia possiede una importante eredità, considerata una ricca fonte di ricerca per le collezioni, ma è questo, sommato al lavoro di tintura sopra il pezzo di pelle già finito, che ha dato come risultato un capolavoro artigianale. È rilevante menzionare che Lario Como è stato selezionato per la realizzazione della calzatura delle prestigiose griffe: Giorgio Armani, Jil Sander, Etro, Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Trussardi e tanti altri.
