Le dure regole del casting

Al recente TCA summer press tour, Alan Ball ha parlato di come avviene il casting per True Blood.

“We’re creating new characters for Season 5, and when we think about casting we don’t think, ‘Yeah, but they were in that vampire movie,’” he said. “I don’t care, it’s not important. Maybe for the hardcore genre fans that’s a plus, but I think, ‘Let’s get the best actor for this role that we can.’”

I personaggi quindi ci sono, ma mancano i volti. A Ball non importa se tra di loro c’è qualche attore già molto famoso per dei ruoli in altre produzioni (ci riferiamo a Fiona Shaw (Marnie), famosa in tutto il mondo per il ruolo di Zia Petunia nella saga di Harry Potter). Ciò che importa è avere i migliori attori sulla piazza. E fino ad ora non hanno sbagliato un colpo, concordate?
