Si comincia mercoledì 10 allo Studio Orizonte con la contemporanea presentazione del Fefè Visual Magazine #10 e si continua venerdì 12 con il vernissage della loro prima personale di coppia, roba di classe ;)

Mercoledì 10 marzo alle ore 19.30 FEFÈ PROJECT presenta al pubblico FEFÈ VISUAL
MAGAZINE #10, il nuovo numero stampato in quattro copertine differenti, realizzato intorno al
tema “Fate quello che volete ma fatelo rapido” dal film “Aliens” di J. Cameron.
Come se non bastasse, nello stesso giorno, nello stesso luogo ed alla stessa ora FEFÈ PROJECT
lancerà ORIZZONTE VERTICALE - Urban art gallery nel cuore di Roma.
ORIZZONTE VERTICALE, è il nuovo progetto ideato dal FEFÈ PROJECT. Una serie di sfide tra le maggiori firme dell’arte urbana italiana. Ogni due mesi, nel centro della capitale due artisti si sfideranno in una installazione di poster art in formato gigante su due altissime pareti speculari, visibili dalla strada, lungo Via Barberini, storica via del centro della capitale. Sulle pareti che circondano l’ingresso dello STUDIO ORIZZONTE. Da marzo a dicembre 5 round, 5 clash per un calendario di eventi che richiamerà l’attenzione su questo momento storico in cui è forte l’attenzione intorno al fenomeno contemporaneo dell’urban art.
Mercoledì 10 marzo serata di apertura. Clash inaugurale. Numero 1. Ospiti d’eccezione, protagonisti, tre artisti ormai indiscutibilmente sulla ribalta nazionale e presenti con le proprie opere nello stesso FEFÈ #10 che viene presentato. Tre artisti dai nomi ormai noti: Sten&Lex vs Lucamaleonte.
Le opere realizzate in occasione di ORIZZONTE VERTICALE (1) - Sten&Lex vs Lucamaleonte.
resteranno in esposizione e visibili dalla strada per due mesi interi fino al momento della
convocazione della sfida successiva.

For his second engagement with Italian street art, Giorgio Galotti ispleased to present the first official private show of the two Romanstreet artists, Sten&Lex. The title of the show refers to the acronymsof their tags, which combined indicate the revolution of theirdecision to engage in work together, no longer individually, but sideby side.Known primarily for their public interventions, they have beenstimulating interest with press and critics for some time, attractingall kinds of fans, not only those of graffiti and street art, but alsothose involved in more institutional aspects of contemporary art. Thisexhibition is the official debut of the artists in a gallery setting.For this reason, the progression of the display was studied diligentlyfrom conception to development in order to maintain synchronizationbetween the poetic language and narrative in their works.
The work of Sten&Lex continues after their study of recovered fromhistoric photographic archives in Italy from the 1960s and 1970s,establishing a new style, albeit realized with old methods. The postertechnique is a point of commonality between them, and has made them aphenomenon of international acclaim. The unpublished works shown inthis exhibition were realized more meticulously than previousundertakings, and this is to become a distinct characteristic of theirworks to come as they explore the use of stencil on paper.This new technique develops in three fundamental stages: in part as areintroduction of stencil, a method of which --sten-, creator of thehole school, was one of the Italian innovators; applied technically ason poster, the preferred medium of Lex; all synthesized with thepractice of décollage in the style of Jacques Villeglé or MimmoRotella, which, once the glue dries, gives life to the final work,leaving a sign as primitive as worn.Sten&Lex live in symbiosis during process of each creation,envisioning each subject, developing it, and, once determined,focusing on implementing it as if they were ancient scribes slowlyexecuting an intricate and elaborate art. What emerges is atechnically complex work that culminates into a popular icon. Theirapproach to the creation of the artwork is extremely introspective. Inthe photographic documentaries of their public works one always findsa hooded figure present, as if the artists intended to narrate thestory of our era from the perspective of a mysterious loner with apoetically hidden identity.
In the panorama of international street art they are known andesteemed for an unusual peculiarity in the art world: the privacy withwhich they shroud their undertakings.Recently Banksy, sent Sten&Lex, as unique artists of their genre, toLondon for the latest Can's Festival.
For this occasion, a catalogue and a limited edition box will bepublished by DRAGO with critic texts by Maria Letizia Bixio, DavideGiannella e Gianluca Marziani.
