   - The Color Of Success -  There was a time when wearing all black was a sign that someone was in mourning for a lost loved one. But then back in the 1980s the arrival of a number of cerebral designers from Asia like Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons and  Yohji Yamamoto transformed wearing black into an intellectual style statement. There was, of course, also Yves Saint Laurent  who was fascinated by the hue and played with the many shades of black throughout his career with great success Today the all black outfit has become the unofficial uniform of the world traveling fashion set.  Always chic, black also has a lot of practical functions. It travels well, hiding any wear and tear or the odd stain.  It can be dressed up for almost any occasion and it mixes well with any other hue on the color wheel.   Black is indeed beautiful !  The Parisienne
