Maison Martin Margiela for H&M New York Event

Yesterday it was about the look book, today about the New York launch event. We're talking (again) about the Martin Margiela for H&M collaboration that will (finally) hit the stores in two weeks. The focal point of the event were a series of choreographies on the five floors of the historical buiding at 5 Beekam Street, with dancers wearing the collection, dancing in the sand and taking them off :-)  Looking at the 'red carpet' pictures I was struck by the not-so-glamourous looks of the VIP's. I do understand that Margiela is all about being off beat, deconstruted and quirky but some of the guests just looked awful.
Ieri si trattava del look book, oggi dell'evento di New York che l'ha lanciato ufficialmente. Stiamo parliando (di nuovo)della collaborazione Martin Margile per H&M che (finalmente) sara' nei negozi tra due settimane. Il focus dell'evento sono state una serie di coreografie suddivise tra i 5 piani dello storico palazzo a 5 Beekam Street, i ballerini indossavano capi della collezione ballando nella sabbia e spogiandosi mano mano :-)  Gaurdando le foto del 'red carpet' sono rimasto colpito dai look no-proprio-glamour dei VIP. Capisco che Margiela e' sinonimo di abiti destrutturati, inusuali e originali ma alcuni degli ospiti erano semplicemente inguardabili.
