Era da tempo che volevo avvicinarmi alla moda maschile ma non sapevo da dove iniziare. Mi è stata offerta la possibilità di presentarvi un rinomato brand, vanto del made in Italy e mi è sembrato il punto di partenza migliore per questa nuova avventura.
Mitchumm Industries nasce vicino Los Angeles nel 1976 con la produzione di t-shirt e costumi da bagno, un inno al mare, alle palme, al surf e beach volley: sport tipicamente californiani. Un successo immediato che in pochi anni ha permesso al brand di importare tutta la produzione sul lago di Como espandendosi fino alla realizzazione di un total look.
La collezione primavera estate 2014 del brand è un tripudio di colori e stampe ispirate agli anni '70, stile hawaiian, cura estrema dei dettagli ed uso di nuovi materiali come i bottoni in legno delle camicie.
Una linea per un uomo che ama la ricercatezza e la voglia di libertà, per un gentleman moderno come Alex Mitchumm, art director e figlio dell'ideatore del brand che riassume in pieno la filosofia del marchio, un dandy che ama il bello e la natura e perchè no, anche stupire! It was a long time that I wanted to get closer to men's fashion , but I did not know where to start. I have been asked to present a well-known brand , the pride of Made in Italy and I thought it was the best starting point for this new adventure .
Mitchumm Industries was born near Los Angeles in 1976 with the production of t -shirts and bathing suits, a hymn to the sea, the palm trees , surfing and beach volleyball : sport typically Californian .
