Paris day #1 + suggestions

Oltre alle foto di outfit, voglio raccontarvi di questa splendida città. Quindi ecco un breve diario di viaggio con alcuni consigli vitali se volete visitare Parigi!;)In addition to the outfit photos, I want to tell you something about this gorgeous city. Then, here a short travel diary with some really vital suggestions if you want to visit Paris! ;)

Notre Dame + canvases

Il 13 agosto abbiamo dovuto mettere la sveglia alle 5:30 per prendere il treno per Milano, dove siamo partiti in aereo per Parigi, ma ne è valsa la pena ;)
Una volta atterrati all'aeroporto di Orly, volevamo già fare la carta Navigo, un abbonamento settimanale per tutti i mezzi pubblici, per poter già usufruire dell'autobus di linea per giungere ad una fermata della metro. Ci siamo rivolti quindi a due punti informazioni, dove non c'era nessuno che parlava inglese nè che sapesse qualcosa. Alla fine abbiamo preso un autobus di linea, ignari che ci avrebbe messo 50 minuti ad arrivare :P
Se atterrate a Orly, quindi, state attenti! Se avete più di 25 anni o abitate fuori dall'Europa, fate la Paris Card, in cui sono inclusi oltre all'entrate in molti musei importanti e tutti i mezzi pubblici, l'Orlybus o l'Orlyval, navette che portano verso il centro. Se invece avete meno di 18 anni o meno di 25 e siete residenti nell'UE, vi conviene il Navigo pass, che comprende solo i mezzi di trasporto, perchè tutti i musei principali sono gratis. Essa si può fare alla fermata di ogni metro (attenzione alle zone che scegliete! Io ho scelto 1-6 perchè sono andata anche a Disneyland e Versailles), ma non comprende le navette. Quindi, una volta giunti in aeroporto, o pagate 7/10 euro per quelle confortevoli che ci mettono circa mezz'ora o 1,90 per un autobus scomodo che ci mette 50 minuti ;)
On the 13th August we had to set the alarm for 5.30 AM to take the train for Milan, where we went out to Paris, but it has been worth a while ;)
Once we have landed at Orly Airport, we wanted to make the Navigo card, a weekly ticket for all the means of transport, to use it already the autobus to reach the metro. Then we addressed two info points, but no one spoke English or knew some informations. At the end we took the autobus, unaware that it would take 50 minutes :P
If you land at Orly, then, pay attention! If you are over 25 or you live outside of Europe, let's do the Paris Card, which includes, apart from the entry in a lot of important museums and all the lines, the Orlybus and the Orlyval, shuttles which take you in the centre. On the other hand, if you are less than 18 or less than 25 and you live in Europe, the Navigo Pass, which includes only the means of transport, is worthwile because all the main museums are free for you. You can buy it in every subway gap (be careful to the zones you choose! I chose 1-6 because I visited also Disneyland and Versailles), but it doesn't include the shuttles. Afterwards, arrived to the airport, or you pay 7/10 euros for the comfortable ones which take around 30 minutes or 1,90 for an uncomfortable autobus which needs 50 minutes ;)




Dopo questa piccola peripezia, siamo giunti in hotel. Abbiamo alloggiato in una zona bellissima, nel pieno del Quartiere Latino, trovando un'offerta su Venere.com nell'Hotel des Mines. Il personale parla bene l'inglese ed è molto cortese, in più l'albergo era molto carino e sempre pulitissimo. L'unica pecca è stata la stanza un po' piccola e l'assenza del frigo. A parte questo, ci siamo trovati davvero bene :)
Riposati un po', siamo andati a fare un giro nella nostra zona, imbattendoci dopo pochi minuti nei giardini di Lussemburgo, nel Pantheon e poi nella chiesa di Saint Eustache. Attraversata la Senna, ci siamo trovati davanti Notre Dame, che toglie veramente il fiato. Approfittando della coda irrisoria, abbiamo visitato anche l'interno. Abbiamo terminato il pomeriggio con una piacevole passeggiata lungo il fiume.
Verso sera abbiamo iniziato a sentire un languorino e abbiamo dato un'occhiata ai locali. Se volete mangiare fuori, sappiate che spenderete tanto, soprattutto in acqua e bevande! Se proprio ci tenete, risparmierete qualcosa nei locali del Quartiere Latino. Noi ci siamo imbattuti in un Carrefour in cui i prezzi erano davvero economici e la qualità davvero buona. Abbiamo fatto dunque la spesa lì e abbiamo comodamente mangiato in camera ;)
Attenti però, non tutti i supermercati sono economici!
After this little vicissitude, we arrived to the hotel. We have stayed in an amazing zone, in the midst of the Latin Quarter, finding an offer on Venere.con in the Hotel des Mines. The staff speaks English well and is really kind, moreover the hotel was really nice and always really tidy. The only flaw has been the room which was a bit little and the lack of the fridge. Except for this, we were fine there :)
Lied down, we went around in our zone, coming upon the Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon and then the Saint Eustache Church. Crossed the Seine, we met up Notre Dame, which takes your breath away. Trading on the ridicolous queue, we visited also the inner part. We ended the afternoon with a lovely walk along the river.
In the evening we started to feel hungry and we get an eyed to the locals. If you want to dine out, you have to know that you will spend a lot, especially in water and drinks! If it matters a lot to you, you will save money in the Latin Quarter. We found a Carrefour market where the prices were really economic and the quality very good. Then we did our shopping here and we ate comfortably in our room ;)
However, pay attention because not all supermarkets are economic!
