Paris day #2 + suggestions

Il secondo giorno abbiamo deciso di visitare il Museo d'Orsay, che è splendido non solo per le importantissime opere, soprattutto del periodo impressionista, ma anche per l'ambiente interno. Il museo infatti è situato nella vecchia Gare d'Orsay, una stazione dismessa preservata come monumento storico. Successivamente, ci siamo spostati verso la nostra zona, dove abbiamo pranzato al McDonald's davanti alla Sorbonne e abbiamo visitato il Pantheon che avevamo visto solo dall'esterno. Poi abbiamo deciso che era il momento di vedere il simbolo di Parigi: la Torre Eiffel.
The second day we decided to visit the Orsay Museum, which is amazing not only for the really important pieces of art, mainly impressionist ones, but also for the inner location. Indees the museum is set in the old Gare d'Orsay, a disuded station preserved as a hystorical monument. Next, we moved to our zone, where we had lunch at the McDonald's in front of the Sorbonne University and we visited the Pantheon, that we had seen only outside. Then, we decided that it was the moment to see the symbol of Paris: the Eiffel Tower.

Pantheon

La vista dalla cima è splendida e salirci ne vale davvero la pena. Tuttavia, bisogna fare attenzione anche qui. Per salire ci sono due code, una per l'ascensore e una per le scale, e dovete guardare bene quale sia la vostra. Una volta giunti al secondo piano, dovrete fare un altro biglietto per salire in cima; nessuno però vi dice che la cassa superiore potrebbe essere chiusa per l'affluenza di gente.. e dovrete aspettare ancora. Prendetela con filosofia e cogliete l'occasione per fare un sacco di foto mentre siete già in coda ;)Noi siamo stati lì verso sera e credo sia l'orario migliore, perchè salite con la luce e scendete quando inizia il tramonto, con i suoi colori meravigliosi, e iniziano ad illuminare la torre. Un altro monumento che vale la pena vedere di sera è l'Arco di Trionfo.
The view by the top is gorgeous and going on it is worth a while. However, you have to pay attention also here. To go up there are two queues, one for the elevator and one for the stairs, look to he right one. When you arrive to the second floor, you'll have to pay an other ticket to reach the top; but no one says to you that the upper cash could be closed if there are too many people.. and you'll have to wait more. Let's take it easy and use the occasion to take a lot of photos while you are in the queue ;)We have been there in the late afternoon and I think it is the best time, because you go to the top with the light and you go down with the great twilight lights and they start to illuminate the tower. An other monument that you have to see by night is the Triumphal Arch.
