pittura con qualcosa in più - painting with a little pizzazz

se va tutto bene, in questo momento sarò in viaggio con i miei figli verso gli stati uniti per trovare famiglia e amici. (ho programmato questo post, non sto scrivendo dall'aereo!) mio figlio ha passato tutto il fine settimana con la febbre alta e io mi preoccupavo di forse non poter prendere l'aereo. per fortuna gli è passata la febbre. speriamo solo che non torni!! quindi ecco un post non impegnativo che sono riuscita a preparare prima di partire.
if all goes well, at this moment i will be travelling with my kids to the united states to visit family and friends. (i scheduled this post, i'm not writing from the plane!) my little guy spend all weekend with a high fever and i was pretty worried that we might not be able to board the plane. luckily the fever went away. let's just hope it doesn't come back!! so here's a pretty lightweight post that i managed to prepare before leaving.

a volte non ci vuole molto per accontentare i bimbi. basta un minimo cambiamento dal solito e diventa una cosa tutta nuova. la settimana scorsa è venuta una amica di mia figlia a casa a giocare e le due mi hanno chiesto con grande insistenza di portare fuori lo "scatolone fabbricone".
sometimes it doesn't take much to make kids happy. just the slightest departure from the usual and it becomes something totally new. last week my daughter's friend came over to play and they asked me very urgently to be able to see the "scatolone fabbricone" (on an italian children's tv program they take out this box with supplies and materials that you can find hanging around the house and they make things out of them).

dentro hanno trovato tanti colori diversi, la colla con i brillantini, pittura con le formine dentro, molti pennelli diversi e conchiglie di capasanta. (non vedo l'ora di mangiare piattoni di capasante, che costano MOLTO di meno dalle mie parte degli stati uniti!)
inside they found different types of paints, glitter glue, paint with shapes in it, lots of paintbrushes and scallop shells. (i can't wait to eat big plates of scallops, which cost a LOT less in my area of the states!)

le ho lasciate a fare quello che volevano ed erano contentissime! mia figlia poi ha preso qualche pietra raccolta dalla spiaggia e hanno dipinto anche quelle. il solo fatto di dipingere materiali diversi dalla carta l'ha resa un'attività molto divertente e nuova per loro.
i left them to it and they were thrilled! my daughter then got a few rocks collected from the beach and they painted those too. the simple fact that they were painting something besides paper made it a very fun and new activity for them.

l'amica di mia figlia mi chiedeva perché io stessi scattando le foto. mia figlia: "eh, ne sono abituata!" ahaha!
my daughter's friend asked me why i was taking all those pictures. my daughter: "ah, i'm used to it!" ha ha!
