Weekend di sorprese e colpacci in Premier League, ma non per il Chelsea che già si issa in vetta distruggendo al Goodison Park l’Everton per 6-3, grazie allo sfavillante attacco in cui si distingue Diego Costa autore di una doppietta, nonostante il gol dell’ex di Eto’o all’esordio in maglia toffees. L’Everton rimane ancora a zero vittorie.

Lo Swansea conferma il grande inizio di stagione dopo il 3-0 con cui ha regolato il West Bromwich, grazie ai due goal di Dyer. Gallesi al secondo posto, West Bromwich al 18°.
Anche l’Aston Villa è partito bene ed è terzo dopo il successo per 2-1 in casa contro l’Hull City. Gli ospiti sono attualmente noni.
Lo shock maggiore si è registrato all’Etihad Stadium dove i padroni di casa del City sono stati battuti da un coriaceo Stoke City; il goal di Diouf, in capo a una cavalcata solitaria proietta lo Stoke al decimo posto mentre i Citizens scendono al 4°.
Il Liverpool mette fine all’imbattibilità iniziale degli Spurs con un superbo 3-0 al White Hart Lane, con score di Sterling, Gerrard e Moreno. Liverpool che sale al 5° posto, Tottenham al 6°.
L’Arsenal mantiene la sua inviolabilità ma fatica più del previsto per domare il Leicester, con cui ricava solo un punto frutto della prima rete in Premier di Sanchez. Ulloa segna il goal del meritato pareggio che lascia i Gunners al 7° posto e i Foxes al 15° , dopo un incoraggiante inizio stagione.
Il Southampton è 8° e le suona al West Ham per 3-1; Schneiderlin sugli scudi con una doppietta, West Ham 11°.
Il QPR ottiene i primi sudati punti grazie alla vittoria di misura sul Sunderland; la rete di Austin permette ai Rangers di scavalcare proprio il Sunderland al 12° posto.
Ancora a secco di vittorie il Manchester United, bloccato sullo 0-0 dal Burnley nella partita d’esordio di Di Maria, dopo il trasferimento record per 60 milioni di sterline dal Real Madrid. I Red Devils raggiungono inoltre un accordo col Monaco per il  prestito annuale di Radamel Falcao, in grado di potenziare sensibilmente la loro linea d’attacco. Grande risultato e primo punto, invece, per il Burnley che tuttavia occupa l’ultima posizione di classifica.
Neil Warnock prende le redini del Crystal Palace con un divertente 3-3 contro il Newcastle; Zaha, di ritorno al suo vecchio club dal Manchester United, è l’autore del definitivo pareggio che lascia il Palace al 19° posto mentre il Newcastle sale al 16°.
Questo weekend la Premier osserva un riposo per permettere la disputa delle gare della Nazionale; tra due settimane la ripresa, con Arsenal-Manchester City, Chelsea-Swansea e Liverpool-Aston Villa tra i match di maggior richiamo.

It was a weekend of shocks and surprises in the premier league but not for Chelsea as they hit top spot by destroying Everton 6-3 at Goodison Park with a superb attacking display including 2 goals for Costa as Everton were picked apart despite Eto, o netting a debut goal for them against his old club , the Toffees are still without a win.

Swansea,s great start continued with a comfortable 3-0 home win over West Brom as Dyer netted twice to leave them 2nd with maximum points , West Brom are 18th. Aston Villa have made a good start and are 3rd after a 2-1 home win over Hull City , Hull are 9th.

The big shock was at the Etihad as champions s Manchester City were beaten 1-0 by Stoke City as Diouf netted a superb solo goal to end there unbeaten start and drop them to 4th , Stoke rise to 10th.

Liverpool ended Spurs unbeaten start with a superb 3-0 win at White Hart Lane as Sterling Gerrard and Moreno found the net to lift the Reds to 5th and drop Tottenham to 6th.

Arsenal are still unbeaten but laboured to a 1-1 draw At Leicester despite Sanchez netting his first league goal for the club , Ulloa earned the Foxes a deserved point that leaves the Gunners 7th , Leicester are 15th after an encouraging start.

Southampton are 8th after a fine 3-1 win  at West Ham as schneiderlin scored twice for the Saints , West Ham are 11th.

Qpr got there first points with a 1-0 home win over Sunderland as Austin netted the Winner to lift them to 12th , Sunderland are 13th. There’s still no win for Manchester United as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Burnley despite Di Maria making his debut following his 60 million move from Real Madrid and it looks like Radamel Falcao will join on a seasons loan from Monaco as United look to strengthen as they lie in 14th place , a great result for Burnley tho as they get there first point on the board but remain bottom of the table.

Neil Warnock took charge of Crystal Palace for the first time as they earned a 3-3 draw at Newcastle , Zaha netting a late equaliser for Palace on his return to the club after leaving Manchester United to leave them in 19th place , Newcastle are 16th. There’s a break this weekend for the international football before the premier league returns in 2 weeks time with Arsenal v Manchester City , Chelsea v Swansea and Liverpool v Aston Villa the pick of the fixtures.
