(ITA) Registrato poco dopo Songs for a blue guitar, ma pubblicato solo nel 2001 per problemi discografici, Old Ramon è l'ultimo capitolo della saga dei Red house painters. Ed è l'opera più solare e pop di Kozelek, che con canzoni movimentate come Wop-a-din e Byrd Joel si allontana del tutto dalle influenze dark-wave di Down colorful hill. La lunga River, varia e complessa, è una summa di tutto ciò che ha fatto la band negli anni '90. Kozelek continuerà a suonare sotto il nuovo marchi Sun Kil Moon, orientato verso una forma più tradizionale di cantautorato folk.

(ENG) Recorded shortly after Songs for a blue guitar, but published only in 2001 because of label problems, Old Ramon is the latest chapter in the saga of Red House Painters. It is the most solar and pop Kozelek's opera, with handled songs as Wop-a-din and Byrd Joel which are completely farfrom the dark-wave influences of Down Colorful Hill. The long River, various and complex, is a culmination of everything that the band played in the 90's. Kozelek will continue to play under the new brand Sun Kil Moon, oriented towards a more traditional form of folk songwriting.4/5
