Red leaf / la foglia rossa

Quasi improvvisamente il clima è diventato freddo. Le ultime foglie sui rami sono colore dell'oro, il gingko e le betulle hanno la capacità di splendere anche nel giorno più grigio, di un giallo oro che vorrei avere nella mia tavolozza.

Ho passato novembre ad ammirare le foglie ed i loro continui cambiamenti.
Quando le foglie sono verdi sui rami riesco a vedere solo l'insieme...Quando le foglie cadono, ognuna sembra avere una personalità, un diverso modo di  prendere colore nell' appassire o accartocciarsi .In questo stato d'animo, ho dipinto le foglie osservando una mia fotografìa e tenendo sotto gli occhi qualche foglia raccolta per strada.

Ho  dipinto direttamente, senza disegnare a matita, ottenendo alcune forme per l'impronta iniziale con la tecnica dei  fili d'acqua, e definendo l'insieme con la pittura in negativo.
Mentre la maggior parte del lavoro è stata fatta in poco tempo, la rifinitura è arrivata dopo una totale asciugatura della carta e qualche giorno di distanza dal soggetto.
Ho completato il lavoro con alcuni tocchi di nero lampada, per approfondire il neutro rosso ossido-blu che ho usato per le ombre negative.

Una sola foglia, dipinta di getto, fiammeggia su tutte le altre ...Questa foglia rossa, unica tra tutte le altre (per metri e metri intorno a me) durante la mia passeggiata, sembrava chiedere "Non ti scordare di me".

I spent November to admire the leaves and their constant changes.
When the leaves are green on the branches I can only see the whole ...
When the leaves fall instead each seems to have a personality, a different way to get color in wither or wrinkle.
In this mood, I painted leaves, observing my photo, and some leaves, collected in the street.
I painted directly without pencil drawing, getting some shapes for the initial impression with the technique of "threads of water", and defining the whole with painting in negative.

While most of the work was done in a short time, the finish came after a total drying of paper and a few days of the distance from the subject.
I painted some touches of black lamp, to deepen the neutral oxide red-blue that I used for the negative shapes.
An unique red leaf, painted directly, flames on all other ... This single red leaf, among all other (for yards and yards around me) during my walk, seemed to ask "Do not forget me."
