Sales 2010 : Kiko purchases (part 1)

Let’s move to light things.

On the 3^rd of July the sales officially began here in Lombardy. As I am a real big spender, and after my last day of shopping (my birthday in January), I granted myself a healthy day of shopping with my friend Alessia (you can find her in the comments bellows). Our chosen destination, Como. One of our first stops was Kiko, the place of quite cheap make-up, galaxy of colours and magnetic make-up displays. Here you are a quick overview of my purchases, with products names, pics, prices and my personal opinion about them:

1) Volume Attraction – Waterproof Mascara 2,00€

I’ve been tempted by the offer. Honesty, I do not have this big experience with mascara, I’ve always bought the Rimmel ones, both ordinary and waterproof trying almost every new kind of them. The real bad thing is to pay something like 11€ for a mascara bought at the supermarket, so when I saw the Kiko offer I literally caught it. The most important characteristics for a mascara for me are: the bristle brush, quite thick, the black jet colour and that it does not make lumps. The Kiko one has all of these three characteristics but a huge lack. Even if it is written ‘waterproof’, this mascara is not waterproof at all. It perfectly deals with humidity and sweat, but with water it leaks.

2) Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow – 06 Golden Brown 6,90€

In this case, curiosity led me. Is it possible that an eyeshadow stick lasts ‘till 8 hours? The answer is ‘yes, it is’. I’ve tried it, it is easy to use, the colour is rich and bright and it lasts many hours (I did not timed them, but it lasts all night). I’ve chosen a very bright and summer colour, that enlightens the look and intensifies it. The price is not that low, but keep in mind that it is a new product, so it will be reduced in the future. On the Kiko website you can find a special offer: some colours on sale at just 4,90€.

3) Smart Lipstick – 42 Dark Pink 2,00€ and 87 Red Plum 2,00€

2€ for a lipstick is just a great offer and, even if in summer I prefer gloss and lipbalm, I bought two lipsticks. There’s a big variety of colours and I’ve chosen two of my favourite ones, pink and plum. The consistency of these two lipsticks is soft and creamy, the colour is rich and you can easily see it. I think they are really great.

Passiamo alle frivolezze, che ne dite?

Il 3 luglio sono ufficialmente iniziati i saldi in Lombardia. Da brava manibucate quale sono, e dopo essere stata a digiuno dal giorno del mio compleanno, mi sono concessa una sana giornata di shopping con Alessia (la trovate tra i commenti). Meta scelta Como. Una delle nostre primissime tappe è stata Kiko, mecca del make-up a costo moderato, galassia di colori ed espositori magnetici. Eccovi una rapida carrellata con i nomi dei prodotti, i prezzi, le foto e le mie opinioni al riguardo:

1) Volume Attraction – Mascara Waterproof in promozione a 2,00€

Mi sono lasciata tentare dall’offerta. Sinceramente non ho una grandissima esperienza in fatto di mascara, ho sempre comprato solo quelli della Rimmel, sia normali che waterproof provandoli un po’ tutti. La pecca enorme è pagare qualcosa come 11€ per un mascara preso al supermercato, per questo quando ho visto l’offerta Kiko l’ho afferrata al volo. Per me le caratteristiche fondamentali in un mascara sono 3: che abbia lo scovolino fatto di setole molto fitto e gonfio, che sia nero pece e che non faccia grumi. Il mascara della Kiko rispetta queste tre caratteristiche ma ha una pecca enorme. Sebbene sulla confezione ci sia scritto waterproof, waterproof non è. Regge perfettamente l’umidità ed il sudore, ma appena entra in contatto diretto con l’acqua, cola.

2) Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow – 06 Marrone Dorato a 6,90€

In questo caso è stata la curiosità a spingermi. Possibile che un ombretto in stick possa durare davvero fino a 8 ore? La risposta è si. L’ho provato, si applica e stende con una facilità incredibile, il colore è ricco e luminoso e dura davvero molte ore (non ho cronometrato con precisione, diciamo che vi dura tutta la serata). Il colore che ho scelto è molto luminoso ed estivo, illumina lo sguardo e lo intensifica. Unica pecca forse il prezzo, tenete conto che però si tratta di una novità, quindi è probabile che scenda a breve. Sul sito della Kiko trovate alcuni colori in offerta a soli 4,90€.

3) Smart Lipstick – 42 Rosa Scuro a 2,00€ e 87 Rosso Prugna a 2,00€

2€ per un rossetto sono davvero una buona offerta e, sebbene d’estate preferisca gloss e burrocacao, non me la sono fatta scappare. I colori tra cui scegliere sono davvero tanti ma io ho optato per le due tra le mie tonalità preferite, il rosa ed il prugna. La consistenza di questi due rossetti è morbida e cremosa, il colore ricco e basta una sola passata per vedere il risultato. Per me sono davvero ottimi.
