Salvatore Ferragamo Will Show an Exhibition on Marilyn Monroe

After the success of the Ferragamo's Exhibiton entitled "Ispirazioni e Visioni" (Inspirations and Visions) opened until March 12th in Florence, WWD reports that Salvatore Ferragamo will hold an other exhibition dedicated to Marilyn Monroe at the brand’s museum in Florence and will run from June 2012 to January 2013. The Ferragamo museum owns 14 pairs of shoes originally designed for the actress by the late Salvatore Ferragamo. The styles were bought at a Christie’s auction in 1999 and will be on display with a number of Monroe’s costumes and art works dedicated to the iconic film star. The exhibit succeeds one last year centered on another movie legend, Greta Garbo.

Il museo Ferragamo possiede 14 paia di scarpe  create da Salvatore Ferragamo e originariamente indossate dall'attrice. Le scarpe furono acquistate durante un'asta di Christie’s nel 1999 e saranno allestite insieme ad altri abiti e opere d'arte dedicate all'icona del cinema. In passato fu dedicata una mostra ad un'altra legenda del cinema, Greta Garbo.
