San Andrès Milano F/W 2013-14: Omagè a L. Barragàn Architecture

Buongiorno a tutti ragazzi e buon inizio di settimana.
Dopo avervi mostrato le creazioni british di Smart Turnout, voliamo dall'altra parte del mondo, precisamente nelle terre calde del Messico, per scoprire insieme la collezione A/I 2013-14 di San Andrès Milano.
Vi avevo già presentato questo giovane stilista, conosciuto durante la Milano Fashion Week, in questo post; avevate apprezzato moltissimo il suo talento e le sue creazioni donna.
Bene, ho incontrato nuovamente Andrès durante Pitti Immagine Uomo ed è stato un estremo piacere scambiare quattro chiacchiere con lui a proposito della sua ultima collezione.
San Andrès sta vivendo un periodo pieno di emozionanti prime volte: questo di gennaio è stato il suo primo Pitti, per la prima volta sfilerà (non su una passerella comune, ma su quella di Alta Roma) e ha accettato la sfida di realizzare una collezione uomo: cappotti, maglioni, cinture e borse.

Last week I've shown you Smart Turnout, a british colorful brand; today we fly to Mexico to discover together the new F/W 2013-14 collection by San Andrès Milano.
I've already introduced you this young fashion designer, that I met during Milan Fashion Week, in this post; I remember you have really appreciated his talent and his woman collection.
Well, I met Andrès again during Pitti Immagine Uomo and it was a great pleasure for me to talk with him about his last collection.
At the moment, San Andrès is surrounded by a lot of exciting first times: this was his first time at Pitti, he will be at Alta Roma very soon and he accepted a great challenge: to create his very first men collection.

Ciò che ho apprezzato della collezione di Andrès, oltre all'estrema cura per i dettagli e per le rifiniture, che avevo già notato nella linea donna, è la commistione tra guardaroba femminile e maschile.
Come mi ha raccontato anche lui, adora il fatto che le donne possano indossare completi e giacche sartoriale dal taglio maschile e che gli uomini portino cappotti o accessori che fanno parte dell'immaginario femminile.
Ispirandosi al lavoro dell'architetto messicano L. Barragàn, San Andrès propone una collezione dominata da tagli semplici, rettangolari o squadrati e proporzioni nuove, morbide e relaxed.
Le texture e i colori richiamano il suo Messico: vitello lavato, vitello stampa cocco e lana per giacche e cappotti si tingono di nuance cammello, sabbia, blu indaco e nero, in combinazioni fresche e innovative.
L'abbigliamento e gli accessori (come le pratiche borse da viaggio e da lavoro) sono pensati per un uomo in carriera, cosmopolita e contemporaneo, che pur indossando capi confortevoli, non rinuncia ad essere ben vestito in ogni occasione.
What I've really appreciated about Andrès collection, beside his attention to details, that I've already seen in the women collection, is the mix between woman and man clothing.
He told me that he is attracted by women that wear mannish clothes, as suits or tailored blazers, and men who wear coats or accessories with a feminine twist.
San Andrès new men collection, which is a tribute to Mexican architecture of L. Barragàn, is dominated by simple rectangular or squared cuts and relaxed, fluid and new volumes.
The textures of materials are inspired by Andrès mexican origins: washed lather, calf print cocco and wool for jackets and coats, and shades are camel, sand, indigo blue and black, with innovative combinations.
Clothing and accessories (especially the bags for traveling or working) are designed for a cosmopolitan and contemporary man, who wants to stay comfortable but, at the same time, well dressed in any occasion.
