"We liked the idea of telling ourselves directly what happens during the last moments before a show" said Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who in the days that preceded theDolce&Gabbana Fall/Winter 2011 Men's Show shot with their smart phones small vides. Frames of the collection, details, models doing the fitting, assistants and the two designers at work during the last hours before the show.
The outcome is an exceptional documentary, directed by the designer's eyes and their subjectivity during the rehearsals abd the pre-show fittings. No intermediaries, Domenico and Stefano put their attention mostly upon the details they want people to see. Something that goes beyond the boundaries of communication that exist between a brand and its followers, that unites the creative genesis of the collection with the final message sent by the ones who will be wearing the collection around the world.
The documentary will be published exclusively on Swide.com at 1pm (Italian time), an hour before the Dolce&Gabbana Menswear Fall/Winter 2011 that will take place at Metropol on Saturday, January 15th at 2pm (Italian time).
