Second day in Dubai: Burj Al Arab, The palm Jumeirah and Marina walk

Hello everyone!
Here are the photos of our second morning in Dubai.... before going to the beach Marco and I decided to take a walk in the neighborhood of Jumeirah and in particular near the famous hotel Burj Al Arab, the very famous and iconic luxury hotel of the city that overlooks the Persian Gulf and the neighborhood of Jumeirah. Some info about this building? It seems to be the only seven star hotel in the world, it is  located in the midst of the sea on an artificial island built specifically to host it and it is composed entirely of suites (two of which  include among other things, a private cinema!). The building is accessible from the mainland by a bridge that hotel guests run by Rolls Royce cars and apparently the walls of some rooms are covered with gold. The hotel also includes an underwater restaurant whose walls are composed of a huge aquarium. Last gem: the amount of expenditure for the construction of this hotel is not known. Can you imagine such luxury housed in a single building?

Ecco le foto della nostra seconda mattina a Dubai: prima di andare a prendere un pò di sole in spiaggia  io e Marco abbiamo deciso di farci una passeggiata nel quartiere di Jumeirah e in particolare nei pressi del famoso e lussuoso hotel Burj Al Arab, che affaccia sul golfo persico e il quartiere di Jumeirah.
Qualche info su questo edificio? Sembra essere l'unico hotel al mondo a 7 stelle, è situato in mezzo al mare su un'isola artificiale costruita apposta per ospitarlo ed è interamente composto di suite (di cui due reali, comprendenti, tra le altre cose, un cinema privato interno!). L'edificio è raggiungibile dalla terraferma attraverso un ponte che gli ospiti dell'hotel percorrono nientedimeno che in Rolls Royce e pare abbia le pareti di alcune stanze ricoperte di foglia d'oro. Comprende inoltre un ristorante sottomarino le cui pareti sono composte da un enorme acquario. Ultima chicca: l'ammontare della spesa per la costruzione di questo hotel è ignota. Riuscite ad immaginare tanto lusso racchiuso in un unico edificio?


Then we took a ride on the famous Palm Jumeirah, the artificial island having the shape of a palm located a few kilometers far from the Burj Al Arab. A couple of info on this wonderful attraction: it is candidate to become the eighth wonder of the world, and it is so big that it is visible even from the space! In addition, two projects like this, but even larger, are being built in other parts of the city
Successivamente abbiamo fatto un giro nella famosa Palm Jumeirah, l'isola artificiale con la forma di palma situata a pochi kilometri dal Burj Al Arab. Un paio di info su questa magnifica attrazione: è candidata a diventare l'ottava meraviglia del mondo, ed è talmente grande da essere addirittura visibile dallo spazio! Inoltre due progetti come questo, ma di dimensioni ancora  più grandi, sono in fase di realizzazione in altri quartieri della città.



Finally we visited the neighborhood of the Marina along the famous marina walk, a mix of futuristic skyscrapers, cafes, bars and restaurants near the port of Jumeirah. We truly loved it and it turned out a great solution during the day (when it was filled with stands of typical objects and souvenirs) and in the evening, as the choice of restaurants and cafes is really wide.

Infine abbiamo visitato il quartiere della marina passeggiando lungo la famosa marina walk, un concentrato di grattacieli avveneristici, localini, bar e ristoranti nei pressi del porto di Jumeirah. Questo posto ci è piaciuto moltissimo e si è rivelato un'ottima soluzione sia di giorno (quando si riempie di bancarelle di oggetti tipici e souvenir) sia di sera, poichè la scelta dei locali è davvero ampia.
Ecco quindi come abbiamo trascorso la seconda mattinata a Dubai...a domani per le foto del mio outfit!
