Straordinaria partecipazione di ANDREA SALVETTI a Design Miami Basel 2012. Nel prestigioso spazio Dilmos, Salvetti presenterà il progetto “Domestic Nature”, in collaborazione con MUST Gallery
“NATURA DOMESTICA”
E’ una visione lucida e consapevole del rapporto stretto e antico tra l’uomo e lo spazio fantastico che lo circonda.
Lo spazio naturale di un mondo oggi più ostile che necessita di essere compreso, amato e protetto e senz’altro subito anche addomesticato.
Potrebbe essere così il nuovo mondo di chi vorrà circondarsi di cose belle e utili allo stesso tempo, di chi saprà innamorarsi delle forme e cogliere le sfumature, di chi potrà godere dei benefici e apprezzare i servizi resi ogni giorno dagli oggetti che ha scelto intorno a se.

L’allestimento pensato appositamente per Design Miami Basel 2012 comprende l’opera monumentale“MAZZOLIN DI FIORI” ed alcune opere del nuovo progetto “NUVOLE DOMESTICHE”presentato qui in anteprima.
La grande cupola , strutturalmente formata solo da fiori in alluminio colorati , è nella presenza leggera e trasparente e raccoglie uno spazio interno adatto a momenti di convivio , riflessione o riposo. Restandovi dentro si può apprezzare il riparo naturale simile a quello di una siepe per un animale selvatico e pure il conforto metafisico che guarda al futuro che solo alcune opere dell’arte contemporanea possono offrire. Alzando gli occhi anche il cielo da dentro pare migliore.
Attorno e come per trasportare la cupola in una dimensione meno terrena le “NUVOLE DOMESTICHE” sono disposte ad offrire una relazione che porta ad una dimensione più fantastica. Sono nuvole che sembrano di schiuma più che di vapore e si affermano in uno scenario futuro che trasporta con se tutto ciò che sta attorno.
Sono nuvole addomesticate per starvi seduti sopra o abbandonati addosso , per viaggiare comodi trasportati dal vento e dai sogni. Fatte di alluminio avvolto a molle vogliono raccontare un metallo soffice che non si è mai visto , che reagisce con una energia propria riconosciuta solo agli esseri viventi. Non sarà quindi facile domarle con il proprio corpo e comprenderne il carattere anche se in principio sono già domestiche.

This refers to a clear vision of the close and ancient rapport between man
and the amazing space that surrounds him.
Today, this natural space needs to be better understood, loved and
protected, and without a doubt, experienced as a tamed force.
This could be the basis for a new world for those of us who wish to be
surrounded by beautiful and useful objects, for those of us who can fall in
love with shapes and appreciate their subtleties and daily usefulness and
thus truly enjoy their benefits.

The exhibition artwork created for Design Miami Basel 2012 includes the monumental piece “Mazzolin di fiori” and a number of pieces from the new project “Domestic Clouds” previewed here for the first time.
The large cupola or dome, structurally formed only by coloured alluminium flowers, appears light and transparent and provides an internal space suitable for moments of coming together, for reflection or rest. From within you can appreciate the natural shelter it provides, similar to that of a hedge for a wild animal, as well as the metaphysical comfort which looks to the future; something evident in only a few contemporary art pieces today. Looking upwards, even the sky is improved.
Scattered around, as though lifting the context of the piece to a more ethereal and fantastical dimension, are the “domestic clouds”. They appear made of froth rather than water* and they are firmly planted in a future scenario that carries along everything in its path.
They are tamed clouds in which to sit or lounge, to travel comfortably transported by wind and dreams. The clouds are made of alluminium coiled springs, where the metal is soft giving an impression of a metal never previously seen, that reacts with its own energy to living creatures. Hence, it will not be easy to tame them with one’s body and understand their nature even if in principle the clouds have been tamed.
