Street Ka

Solitamente le Citycar sono pensate per essere pratiche, piccole, risparmiose. Molto raramente hanno un design che genera emozioni. Raramente sono "belle". Del resto non è il loro mestiere. E' già più facile credere che queste vetturette siano per lo meno originali, come la vecchia Renault Twingo.  Però, ogni tanto, è bello anche essere contraddetti. La Ford Street Ka è una di quelle auto che mi contraddice. Nata sulla base della piccola Ford Ka, la sua versione Street è in grado, con piccoli accorgimenti (scarico centrale, gruppi ottici modificati, versione roadster), di diventare un'auto completamente diversa. Una sportivona ammiccante capace anche di performance interessanti. Il suo motore, infatti, è un 1600 cc da 170 km all'ora, con una accellerazione 0-100km/h di soli 12 secondi. Io la trovo molto carina... peccato che sia fuori produzione.
Usually, citycars are thought to be practical, small, economical. Rarely they have a design capable to send feelings to the people. Rarely they are "beautiful" too. Well... It's not their job. It's surery more easy to find small citycar with unusual, original, design... like the old Renault Twingo. But sometime it is nice to be contradicted. The Ford Street Ka is the one that contradict me. Born on the Ford Ka design, the Street version of this car is able, with small exterior changes, to became a total different car. It's really a sport car, a sexy car, with a nice engine too. It's capable to reach 170 km/h top speed, and its 0-100km/h speeding up takes 12 seconds only. I think it's really nice... but it's a shame that Ford has stopped its production.
