The #2 issue of Up-and-Coming style is out!

Creato il 13 agosto 2011 da Andrew Jacobs
Plusher, brighter, flusher, upper than ever. Page after page, this number will have your eyes wide shut because, and that’s very easy to explain, nothing here is left to chance. Key points of the issue are, and for sure, “experimentation”“recollection”“variety”: all the diffent influences, styles and inspirations (now shown both in photographic and verbal form) are tunefully mixed and anagrammatized to compose that huge shiny wordthat is TREND. A sophisticated and well-researched kind of trend, which takes its roots from the global experience of the moment: international music, international fashion, international standards of photography, international language as well! We get to the heart of the matter.
The #2 issue of Up-and-Coming style is out!But let’s go and take a closer, flashy look to the contents. The three photographic editorials composing the webzine are extremely and variously assorted, so much that apparently they seem to have nothing in common. For what regards Women’s Fashion, the pictures range from the warm, darkly sensual, deep hues of Elisabetta Porcinai‘s work to the stellar, maybe fresher-toned, totally experimental (but just as sexy) concept of Andrea Quarantotto‘s “Shine Like Stars” (title which is a proof of music’s vitality in the number). Two interesting ways to look at beauty, two different styles to celebrate femininity. On the other side, Men’s Fashion is assigned to the skilled, retro-appealing, colour-distorted viewfinder of Carmen Palermo‘s polaroids and film cameras, and her ability to underline how boys’ style can be sophisticated, but also simple and nonchalant under the strong light of what seems a hot, boring summer’s afternoon. And this could be enough! Though, we’re not done. What comes more with the quality visual contents of the webzine is a brand-new rubric, called “Insight” and presented in the last pages of the issue, whose intent is that to discover, find the reasons and go deep inside the boundless world of (emerging) art and artists, under the form of (six and inedited) interviews. Run by Francesca Rinaldi and Sara Scialpi, this issue’s interviews include people like Sebastian SauveMargaret Durow and Danniel Radall.
