"The Great Gatsby" at the Cannes film festival 2013

"The Great Gatsby", a movie cost over 100 million dollars, doesn't convince. When the movie screening finished, the crowd offered no applause. But the stage costumes are simply fabulous ("The Great Gatsby" wears Miu Miu and Prada). The movie has a stellar supporting cast: Leonardo DiCaprio as the main character. They are also part of the movie cast Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher and Joel Edgerton. "The Great Gatsby" ( a Warner Bros production) begins briefly in black and white gradually changing to real colour. Noisy parties, propulsive hip hop novelty songs, sounds and dances. "The Big Apple" provides a perfect backdrop for the movie, where an eccentric millionaire, that is Jay Gatsby, has only two interests in his life: organize (high living) parties and reconquer Daisy! "Il Grande Gatsby", kolossal da oltre 100 milioni di dollari, non convince. Niente applausi dopo la sua proiezione in sala stampa.
Eppure i costumi sono da sogno (favoloso il look anni '20 firmato Prada e Miu Miu), il cast stellare; oltre a Leonardo DiCaprio,nei panni del protagonista, ne fanno parte Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Isla Fisher e Joel Edgerton.
Il film (in 3D) inizia con il logo della Warner Bros ed in bianco e nero, lasciando poco alla volta spazio ai colori.
Feste chiassose, trascinanti musiche hip hop, suoni e balli.
A fare da sfondo, "la Grande Mela", dove un eccentrico milionario, per l'appunto Jay Gatsby, ha due soli interessi: organizzare feste lussuose e riconquistare Daisy!
