Ieri si è infatti disputata allo Stamford Bridge l’attesa finale di Champions femminile, dove si affrontavano le campionesse in carico e super-favorite del Lione e il Wolfsburg che arrivava direttamente in finale alla sua prima apparizione.
Il Lione domina a tratti la partita, ma non riesce a sfruttare le occasioni create, decisivo quindi l’episodio al minuto 73’, quando un ingenuo fallo di mano in area di Laura Georges regalava il rigore trasformato da Martina Muller.
Vano il forcing finale del Lione che rischia di prender il 2-0 in contropiede dalla Magull, ma ha poi al 93’ l’occasione buona per pareggiare, neutralizzata dall’ottima Henning, che spesso è stata decisiva nel salvare la sua porta.
Si interrompe così una lunghissima striscia di vittorie delle Francesi, che avevano battuto proprio due squadre tedesche nelle ultime finali (il Turbine Potsdam nel 2011 e l’FFC Francoforte nel 2012).
