A di Alcantara Presents the F/W Collection of Accessories created Entirely out of Alcantara® Material

Alcantaramaterial is a one of a kind in the textile industry, with their product they’re very competitive and avant-garde in the fashion field. This conviction is strengthened by the fact that they have always been a privileged partner in the worlds of fashion and design – protagonist of extraordinary projects and a material that can be expressed in a myriad of expressions. Alcantara has decided to interpret itself – thus bringing A di Alcantara into being. The decision to launch this maiden collection of accessories for men and women and covers designed for today’s iconic items: tablets and smartphones, was a natural follow-on from this. This spontaneous step emerged out of the treasure house of knowledge and experience that has distinguished Alcantara for the past 40 years.
A di Alcantara gives free rein to the many expressions of Alcantara – to its versatility and its ability to lend itself to endless transformations and renewal – while full respecting the requirements of environmental sustainability. This collection offers a new path toward horizons that leave space for imagination, creativity and originality – an aesthetic quest that goes hand in hand with technological innovation. Highly contemporary shapes, volumes, details, colours and motifs are featured on travel bags, work bags, rucksacks and wallets for men and on handbags and clutch bags for ladies along with a broad selection of accessories and covers for smartphones and tablets. Some talented fashion designers who have been collaborating with Alcantara for time have given shape to an important strategic project A di Alcantara: Sara Battaglia, Caterina Gatta, Andrea Incontri and Letimotiv. Sara Battaglia collection is solid-coloured in an elegant and “dandy” style featuring a meticulous study of shapes and details along with overlapping and special processing of material (embossed, laminated, pleated print, pleated perforations). The choice of motifs in various colours upon clear-cut structures gives a romantic flair to the collection by Caterina Gatta. Her style is a new cross between the dandy and the bohemian, well suited to the tasteful, classic elegance. Andrea Incontri redesigns distinct shapes based upon the concept of less is more and reduces ornamental details to the bare essentials. Volume is created almost as if it were made of shadows, a combination that accentuates the product’s suitability to both sexes. An astrakhan print was developed as a trompe l’oeil and added to solid-coloured material. Leitmotiv collection grew from a futuristic concept combining the strong identities of Alcantara and the fashion designers. The prints let you navigate among straps, belts and buckles that conjure up the past as well as the modern world of microchips. This is a collection of accessories in which practicality and aesthetics create an eclectic and sophisticated combination that gives life to unique and exclusive items. Forme, volumi, dettagli, colori e motivi grafici dalla forte impronta contemporanea danno vita a borse da viaggio e da lavoro, zaini e portafogli per l’uomo; borse e clutch per la donna; oltre all’ampia offerta di accessori e cover per smarthphone e tablet. Alcuni talenti del fashion design, cha da tempo collaborano con Alcantara, hanno dato corpo a questo importante progetto strategico A di Alcantara: Sara Battaglia, Caterina Gatta, Andrea Incontri e Leitmotiv. La collezione di Sara Battaglia è in tinta unita dal gusto elegante e dandy, con uno studio approfondito sulle forme e sui dettagli assieme a sovrapposizioni e lavorazioni speciali del materiale (goffrato, laminato, stampa plissetata, forato plissettato). Ha un gusto romantico la collezione di Caterina Gatta con motivi di vari colori su strutture molto pulite. È uno stile, il suo, rivisitato fra il dandy e il bohémien dall’eleganza sobria, classica. Andrea Incontri ridisegna forme rigorose, sulla base del less is more, riduce al minimo i dettagli ornamentali creando dei volumi quasi come se fossero delle ombre. Sintesi che mette in luce una funzione d’uso unisex dei prodotti. Al materiale in tinta unita si aggiunge una stampa astrakan sviluppata come un trompe d’oeil. L’ispirazione di Leitmotiv nasce da un concept futuristico che unisce la forte identità di Alcantara con quella dei due fashion designer. Le stampe permettono di navigare tra cinghie, cinture e fibbie che evocano il passato fino al mondo moderno del microchip. È una collezione di accessori dove la praticità unita alla ricerca estetica creano un connubio eclettico e raffinato che dà vita a oggetti unici ed esclusivi.
