Che figuraccia lo United !
Grande weekend di sorprese e ottimo football, lo scorso di Premier, con il big match dell’Etihad dove il Chelsea faceva visita ai campioni del Manchester City.
Blues a lungo avanti grazie al goal di Schurrle ma un indomabile City, pur costretto in 10, riusciva nell’impresa di riequilibrare il risultato; era proprio l’ex leggenda Chelsea Frank Lampard, uscito dalla panchina, a regalare il pareggio a 5 minuti dalla fine.
Chelsea sempre in testa con 3 lunghezze, City al 6° posto.
L’Arsenal rimane l’unica squadra imbattuta, dopo il netto successo per 3-0 sull’Aston Villa; da segnalare gol e assist per Ozil e prima marcatura in maglia Gunners di Welbeck. Aston Villa che scende al 3° posto, Arsenal al 4°.
Il sorprendente Southampton sale al 2° posto e continua nel suo strepitoso inizio di stagione. Questa volta gli uomini di Ronald Koeman superano col minimo scarto lo Swansea grazie al goal di Wanyama, dimostrando di aver assorbito nel migliore dei modi i tanti trasferimenti estivi. Lo Swansea scivola al 5° posto.
La sorpresa più grossa del weekend si verifica al Walkers Stadium di Leicester dove i padroni di casa rimontano il vantaggio (1-3) del Manchester United fino a stravincere per 5-3. Un grande Di Maria con un fantastico pallonetto aveva consentito ai Reds di condurre fino al riposo, ma la doppietta di Ulloa, e le marcature di Nugent, Cambiasso e Vardy, a spasso tra le macerie della difesa United, ribaltavano completamente il match. Leicester che si issa al 7° posto, mentre il Man Utd non riesce a riemergere dal suo tremendo campionato che lo vede fermo al 12° posto.
Altra sorpresa all’Upton Park dove il West Ham ha la meglio (3-1) sul Liverpool, alla terza sconfitta stagionale. Hammers all’8° posto, Liverpool malinconicamente bloccato all’11°.
IL West Bromwich (16°) ottiene la prima vittoria stagionale grazie al risicato successo sul Tottenham (9°), autore Morrison.
Il Newcastle sorprende in negativo, rimanendo sul fondo classifica, nonostante la doppia rimonta nel pareggio casalingo per 2-2 contro l’Hull City. Cisse esce dalla panchina per firmare la doppietta che significa un punto per l’asfittica classifica dei Magpies. Hull 10°.
Il QPR e lo Stoke si dividono la posta (2-2) a Loftus Road; Hoops che rimontano due volte guadagnando un prezioso punto che li mantiene al 18° posto, Stoke al 13°.
Il Crystal Palace emerge con un fantastico 3-2 dal match con l’Everton; sono Jedinak, Campbell e Bolasie a insaccare i palloni che regalano il primo successo ai londinesi, trascinandoli al 15° posto, proprio dietro all’Everton che rimane 14°.
Reti inviolate infine al Turf Moor tra Burnley e Sunderland in un match dalle poche emozioni. Burnley 19° e Sunderland 17°.
Nel prossimo weekend l’Arsenal ospiterà il Tottenham, mentre l’Everton farà visita al Liverpool e l’Aston Villa si recherà allo Stamford Bridge per incrociare la capolista Chelsea.

It was a week of shocks surprises and great football in the premier league with the biggest game of the week taking place at the Etihad as leaders Chelsea met champions Manchester City and in a tight match Chelsea looked to be heading for 3 points after Schurlle gave them a late lead , but City hit back despite being down to 10 men as Chelsea legend Frank Lampard came off the bench to net against his former club with 5 minutes to go to end Chelsea, s 100% start to the season but they do move 3 points clear at the top , City are 6th. Arsenal are the only other unbeaten side as they put in there best display so far with a comfortable 3-0 win at Aston Villa as Ozil scored one and then made one for Danny Welbeck, s first Arsenal goal to end Villa, s unbeaten start and they drop to 3rd , the Gunners are up to 4th. Southampton are 2nd as they continued there great start with a 1-0 win at Swansea as Wanyama got the winner for the Saints who look to be just as good as last season despite the players they lost over the summer. Swansea slip to 5th. The shock of the weekend came at the Walkers Stadium as Leicester stunned Manchester United by fighting back from 3-1 down to win 5-3 in a pulsating game despite Di Maria netting a wonder goal for United , Ulloa netted 2 more and Vardy Nugent and Cambiasso took advantage of United, s poor defending to lift City up to 7th. United slide to 12th with just one win as there poor start continues. There was a surprise too at Upton Park as West ham beat Liverpool 3-1 to inflict a 3rd defeat already on the Reds to move the improving Hammers up to 8th , Liverpool slip to 11th. West Brom got there first win of the season as Morrison headed them a 1-0 win at Tottenham that leaves Spurs 9th , West Brom are 16th. Newcastle are now bottom of the table but did at least fight back from 2 goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Hull City as Cisse came off the bench to net twice and rescue a point , Hull are 10th. Qpr and Stoke played out a 2-2 draw at Loftus Road as the Hoops twice came from behind to earn a point that leaves them 18th , Stoke are 13th. Crystal Palace earned a fantastic 3-2 win at Everton as Jedinak Campbell and Bolasie got the goals to give them there first win and lift them to 15th behind Everton who are 14th. Finally Burnley and Sunderland drew 0-0 at Turf Moor in a game of few chances that leaves Burnley 19th and Sunderland in 17th. Next weekend sees Arsenal host Tottenham , Liverpool entertainment Everton and Chelsea host Aston Villa in the pick of the fixtures. – Wayne Bills.
