La corsa al titolo sembra ormai finita visto che il Manchester United aumenta il suo vantaggio a 9 punti, scavando il solco grazie alla vittoria per 1-0 a casa del Fulham grazie al goal di Wayne Rooney; per tutta risposta il Manchester City ottiene un pareggio casalingo per 2-2 con un Liverpool in rapido miglioramento in una partita ricca di grandi goal, i migliori dei quali di Steven Gerrard e Segrio Aguero. Le speranze per il titolo del Chelsea stanno giungendo alla fine dopo essere stati battuti per 3-2 a Newcastle in un match eccitante, Moussa Sissoko debutta con due goal per il Newcastle rafforzando significativamente i risultati in trasferta dopo una brutta prima parte di stagione. E’ stata una buona settimana per il Tottenham con una vittoria per 1-0 in casa del West Brom con un altro grande colpo di Gareth Bale che porta la squadra al 4° posto a un punto dal Chelsea. Il West Ham batte in casa lo Swansea per 1-0 terminando il recente brutto periodo e risalendo all’11° posto mentre il Swansea resta all’8° appena dietro al Liverpool. In fondo alla classifica il Reading ferma la serie di buone prestazioni con una vittoria per 2-1 al Madejski per restare 17esimo, col Sunderland al 12esimo posto. Il QPR e il Norwich giocano un incontro privo di reti a Lofus Road, un miglior risultato per il Norwich che è scivolato al 14° posto e lascia il QPR in fondo a 6 punti dalla salvezza. Il WigaN e il Southampton giocano un divertente pareggio per 2-2 al Jjb Stadium, con Maloney che salva un punto per il Wigan che resta terzultimo e il Southampton 16esimo. The title race looks to be all but over as man united stretched there lead to 9 points at the weekend , they dug out a hard earned 1-0 win at Fulham thanks to a Wayne Rooney goal , and in reply Man City could only manage a 2-2 home draw with fast improving Liverpool in a game packed with great goals , the pick of them from Steven Gerrard and Sergio Aguero. Chelsea’s fading title hopes were surely ended after they were beaten 3-2 at Newcastle in a thriller , Moussa Sissoko with 2 debut goals for Newcastle who strengthened significently in the transfer window after a poor first half to the season. It was a good week for Tottenham as they won 1-0 at West Brom with another great Gareth Bale strike to close within a point of Chelsea in 4th. And this after Everton could only manage a 3-3 home draw with Aston Villa , Fellani with a stoppage time leveler to deny Villa a rare win and leave Everton in 5th just a point ahead of Arsenal in 6th after the Gunners edged stoke 1-0 at the Emirates thanks to Lucas Podolski. West Ham beat Swansea 1-0 at home to end there recent bad run and rise to 11th , Swansea stay 8th just behind Liverpool. At the bottom end Reading ended Sunderland’s great run with a 2-1 win at the Madejski to stay 17th , Sunderland stay 12th. QPR and Norwich played out a goaless draw at Loftus Road , a better result for Norwich who have slipped to 14th after a bad run and leaves QPR bottom still and 6 points from safety. Finally Wigan and Southampton played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Jjb Stadium , Maloney saving a late point for Wigan who stay in the bottom 3 , Southampton stay 16th. Next weekend sees Man United host Everton , Man City travel to Southampton and Tottenham host Newcastle in the pick of the fixtures
