Il Chelsea ha fatto il primo botto acquistando la punta spagnola Diego Costa dall’Atletico Madrid per 32 milioni di sterline, richiesto espressamente da Jose Mourinho.
L’Hull City ha fatto firmare un contratto biennale a Tom Ince proveniente dal Blackpool.
Il West Bromwich ha inserito tra le sue file il 32enne difensore nordirlandese Chris Baird, proveniente dal Burnley, che ha firmato per un anno.

Infine la Premier saluta il terzino ex Arsenal e Chelsea Ashley Cole che, svincolatosi dai blues alla fine della scorsa stagione, si è legato alla Roma per due anni.

Its been a very hectic week of transfer activity in the premier league and it started with Chelsea clinching the signing of Spanish forward Diego Costa from Athletico Madrid for 32 million pounds as Jose Mourinho looks to improve there forward options. Hull City have signed winger Tom Ince from Blackpool on a 2 year deal after the Englishman’s contract expired. West Brom have signed 32 year old Northern Ireland defender Chris Baird on a 1 year deal from Burnley on a free transfer. Liverpool have clinched the signing of England midfielder Adam Lallana from Southampton for 25 million to add creativity to the Reds midfield as Southampton continue to lose there best players. also joining the Anfield side is German midfielder Emre Can who signs for 10 million pounds from Bayer Leverkusen as the Reds continue to strengthen. Swansea have signed striker Marvin Emnes for an undisclosed fee from Middlesbrough after impressing on loan last season , the Dutchmen has signed a 3 year deal. Newcastle United have signed Dutch striker Siem De Jong from Ajax on a 6 year contract for an undisclosed fee and will hope the 25 year old can boost there ailing forward line next season. Burnley have signed Scottish keeper Matt Gilks from Blackpool on a 2 year deal after his contract expired.
