[Recipes box] Scroll for english version

Tradizione vuole che le ricette siano sparse in foglietti, ritagli di giornale, quaderni riciclati e agende vecchie. Una volta ho provato a trascrivere tutto su un quaderno nuovo, ma non ero del tutto soddisfatta, la piccola scheda era più comoda! Mi ero quasi rassegnata quando un pomeriggio, guardando l’ennesima replica di Desperate Housewife, vedo la rossa Bree Van de Kamp che tira fuori da un cassetto questa scatola con tutte le ricette catalogate in ordine. All’improvviso mi si è aperto un mondo, ed ho scoperto l’esistenza della Recipes Box. C’è tutto un mercato di scatole, schede e divisori. Se ne trovano di fatte a mano, vintage e moderne. La voglia di shopping si stava quasi impossessando della mia postepay, quando ho deciso di farmela da sola. Volendola ridurre all’osso basta una scatola e dei cartoncini su misura. Io ho voluto strafare rivestendo la scatola e disegnando il cartoncino con le illustrazioni su photoshop. Poi li ho stampati. Per il rivestimento va bene qualsiasi tipo di carta, io avevo già dei fogli con delle illustrazioni meravigliose, comprate tempo fa in un sito per lo scrapbooking (altra mania americana), in un altro raptus di shopping compulsivo. Finalmente ho trovato modo di usarle.

Per quanto riguarda le schede si possono anche solo ritagliare cartoncini su misura e scriverci a mano. Io ho semplicemente aggiunto qualche immagine anni ’50, le righe e le indicazioni per tempo di cottura e temperatura.
Poi occorre fare dei divisori con i quali dividere le ricette per tipologia. Per questo ho seguito le categorie americane trovate in giro sul web, e che ricalcano sommariamente quelle che ci saranno sul blog, ma va bene qualsiasi cosa sia più comodo.
Naturalmente per chi avesse poca manualità su etsy se ne trovano di molto belle, comprese di schede e divisori. Per chi invece avesse gradito le mie i file sono scaricabili qui in basso. Avendo io necessità di catalogare anche le ricette per gli intrugli di bellezza, ne ho fatte due adattandomi alla tipologia di scatola che già avevo. Spero vi piacciano!

* Usually the recipes are in leaflets, newspaper clippings, notebooks and old diaries. Once i tried to write everything in a notebook but I wasn’t entirely satisfied. I almost resigned when, during a boring afternoon, while watching yet another replica of Desperate Housewives, I see the redhead Bree Van de Kamp pulling out this box with all the recipes cataloged in order of the cards. So I discovered the Box Recipes existence. There is a whole market of boxes, cards and dividers. You can find it on the market of all kind: handmade, vintage and modern. Shopping fever was almost compelling, when I decided to Do It Myself. Basically you only need just a box and the cards measure. I wanted to overdo it by coating the box and drawing the card with special drawings on Photoshop. For the coating, any kind of decoupage paper should work, I already had the sheets with wonderful illustrations, bought long ago in a website for scrapbooks (another American mania), in another session of compulsive shopping.

I finally found a way to use them. Regarding the cards, you can also cut cardstock to measure and write by hand. I simply added a few ’50′s pictures, the guide lines and the instructions for cooking time and temperature. Next you need to make recipes tabs to sort the recipes by type.
Of course for those who had little manual on Etsy if they are of very beautiful, including cards and dividers. For those who had enjoyed mine are be downloaded below cards and dividers. Since I also need to catalog the recipes for the concoctions of beauty, I made two adapting myself to the type of box that I already had. I hope you like them!
