Sir David Attemborough ha da poco festeggiato quarant’ anni di trasmissioni TV, soprattutto documentari. Laureato in Scienze Naturali all’ università di cambridge ( UK ). I suoi filmati naturalistici sono sempre stati di ottima qualità. La serie “ LIFE “ illustra le strategie che utilizzano gli animali più disparati per vivere nel loro ambiente. Per la primavolta riprende il celacanto un pesce ritenuto estinto mentre nuota tranquillamente, infatti è stato chiamato “ fossile vivente “ E’ stato fra i primi ad abbracciare l’ Etologia come Scienza
I suoi servizi alla televisione sono stati riconosciuti nel 1985 , e fu nominato cavaliere Sir David Attenborough . Le due serie più corte , “The First Eden ” e ” Lost Worlds , Vanished vita” sono stati montati intorno al 1993 della spettacolare Life in the Freezer ( 1993) , una celebrazione dell’Antartide e il 1995 di epico The Private Life of Plants ( 1995) , che ha scritto e presentato . Ha filmato i bellissimi uccelli del paradiso per ” Attenborough in Paradiso” , nel 1996 realizza una ambizione di una vita , mettendolo vicino al suo uccello preferito . Al compimento dei suoi settant’ anni, ha ricevuto il premio Riserve Speciali (1997) , che segna 40 anni di BBC Natural History Unit. Ma lui non sta rallentando , ha appena completato la serie di 10 puntate epica per la BBC , The Life of Birds (1998 ) insieme con la scrittura e la presentazione della serie di Stato in tre parti del Pianeta (2000 ), così come la vita dei mammiferi ( 2002) . Una volta trasmesso , ha iniziato a pianificare i suoi prossimi progetti .
Ha ricevuto lauree honoris causa da numerose università di tutto il mondo , ed è patrono o sostenitore di numerose organizzazioni caritative , tra cui in qualità di Patrono del World Land Trust , che compra foresta pluviale e le altre terre per preservarle e gli animali che vi abitano .

Filming the beautiful birds of paradise for “Attenborough in Paradise” in 1996 fulfilled a lifelong ambition, putting him near his favourite bird. Entering his seventies, he narrated the award-winning Wildlife Specials (1997), marking 40 years of the BBC Natural History Unit. But, he was not slowing down, as he completed the epic 10-part series for the BBC, The Life of Birds (1998) along with writing and presenting the three-part series State of the Planet (2000) as well as The Life of Mammals (2002). Once broadcast, he began planning his next projects.
He has received honorary degrees from many universities across the world, and is patron or supporter of many charitable organisations, including acting as Patron of the World Land Trust, which buys rain forest and other lands to preserve them and the animals that live there.
