Teiera-Cose e Trash Folder

Tornata in Italia postpongo gli aggiornamenti sulla residenza a Lipsia, la Rundgang e la mia teoria del “triangolo ’90″ Bologna-Lipsia-Portland, per postare un po’ di cose sulle prossime cose in uscita per Teiera.

Innanzitutto, c’è ancora tempo per permetterci di realizzare Pick-a-Land, il nostro primo libro-gioco pensato appositamente per l’infanzia. E’ un progetto a cui teniamo molto, che però prevede dei costi di realizzazione pittosto alti dovuti alle caratteristiche tecniche del libro (stampa offset, carta molto pesante, tagli orizzontali…), quindi abbiamo bisogno del sostegno di tutti per portarlo a termine. Mica a gratis eh! Per chi ci sostiene ci sono ricompense bellissime, che vanno dal libro in sè, alle borse, fino a disegni originali. Ripeto, disegni originali, miei, di Giulia e di Cristina, bellissimi, potete anche chiederci cosa disegnare se volete. Pensate in prospettiva suvvia.

Oltre a Pick-A-Land a fine ottobre uscirà una nuova collana, non mi addentro nelle caratteristiche, ma mi fa piacere postare un po’ di materiale di studio della mia storia illustrata (per adulti eh). In particolare voglio mostrare ciò che non sarà nella storia, ovvero le direzioni sbagliate che volevo prendere e che ho abbandonato. Per me è molto importante darmi del tempo per provare a dirigere il mio lavoro verso una direzione nuova, che magari non so gestire e che quindi finirà in un aborto (come per le immagini qui sotto), ma che sicuramente può lasciarmi qualcosa su cui lavorare in futuro. Quindi ecco una piccola parata di materiale cestinato!

Back in Italiville, I will postpone the updates about Liepzig, the Rungang, and my theory about the “’90s triagle” Leipzig-Bologna-Portland, and talk about Teiera next projects.

First of all, you still have time to help us with Pick-A-Land, our first game-book, specifically addressed to children. We launched the crowdfunding for its production on Verkami, because the particular technical features of this book (heavy paper, horizontal cuts, offset printing…) make it too expensisve for us to produce without support. So, if you like the project, you can contribute to its realization and also receive various rewards, from the book itself, to tote bags, to original drawings made by the three of us (me, Giulia and Cristina). I mean, original drawings!

Beside Pick-A-Land, we have a new serie coming out at the end of the month, so I would like to post some material for the story I have been working on in these weeks (which is for adults). In particular, I want to show what won’t be in the story, the wrong directions, mistakes, and trashed drawings. It’s important for me to take my time to make mistakes, try new things that maybe won’t lead anywhere this time, but will hopefully give me some ideas to work on in the future. So here is the trash folder-parade!
