Amo i Paesi Scandinavi, nordici, amo il Mare del Nord e quel vento costante che soffia sulle spiagge, sulle dune costiere popolate da piante selvatiche, quelle passerelle in legno che dalla strada ti portano alla spiaggia, tanto diverse dalle nostre distese di ombrelloni. Prima di Sissi abbiamo viaggiato tanto in questi paesi, annusato il loro mare, mangiato i loro cibi, assaporato il freddo, ascoltato il silenzio, ammirato musei…

I love Scandinavian and Nordic Countries, I love North Sea and the constant wind blowing on beaches, coastal dunes populated by wild plants, those wooden walkways that take you from the street to the beach, so different from our own stretches of beach umbrellas. Before Sissi was born, we traveled so much in these Countries, sniffed their sea, ate their food, tasted their cold, listening to the silence, admired museums…

Scrivo questo articolo con un po’ di amarezza, perchè dovevamo esserci ed invece alla fine abbiamo dovuto rinunciare a questo viaggio, che includeva anche la fiera. Impegni di lavoro e vari ritardi ci hanno costretto a rimanere.

Anche se… avrei potuto essere egoista. Lasciare Sissi un paio di giorni a nonna e papà. E invece no, non ce l’ho fatta: sicuramente lei sarebbe stata bene, sarebbe stata felice e serena anche con loro, magari avrebbe chiesto frequentemente “Dov’è mamma?”. In realtà sono io a non riuscirmi a separare da lei: questi 30 mesi ci hanno strette di più, giorno dopo giorno… ho avuto la fortuna di poter lavorare da casa, di riuscire a creare una sorta di simbiosi con lei (con tutti i pro ed i contro che questo comporta) e so che inevitabilmente il momento della separazione avverrà.

Il mood nordico ti rimane sempre un po’ dentro e quando guardi le creazioni di fashion e di design nordico, ritrovo ogni volta un po’ di quel vento e di quei panorami. E nel kids fashion tutto ciò si traduce in linee sempre pulite, abiti pensati davvero per i bambini, materie prime spesso bio: ecco qualche foto, presa dal web, di quello che più mi è (virtualmente) piaciuto di questo Ciff Kids per la prossima stagione primavera/estate 2015:

Although… I could be selfish. I could have left Sissi for a couple of days with grandma and dad. But no, I did not: surely she would be fine, she would be happy and serene even with them, maybe she would frequently asked “Where’s Mommy?“. In reality I couldn’t separate from her: in these 30 months we have been closer and closer, day after day… I was lucky enough to be able to work from home, be able to create a sort of symbiosis with her (with all the pros and cons that entails) and I know that inevitably the time of separation will occur.

The Nordic mood is always inside of me and when I look at the creations of nordic fashion and design, I meet every time a bitof that wind and of those views. And in kids fashion this translates into always clean lines, clothes really designed for kids, fabrics often organic: here are some photos, taken from the web, most of what I have (virtually) liked from Ciff Kids for the next Spring/Summer 2015:
