Pitti bimbo 79: my brands

Eccomi qui di ritorno dal Pitti Bimbo 79: ad accoglierci, appena passato l’ingresso e sulla soglia della sezione Apartment, tante palline da ping pong “volanti” a ricordare il tema di questa 79esima edizione Ping Pitti Pong. Uno sport dinamico, con tanto movimento, ma anche concentrazione, che ben si presta ad essere associato al mondo della moda che riassume queste due caratteristiche. E poi tanta allegria: è estate, è childrenswear, è Pitti Bimbo!

Here I am back from Pitti Bimbo 79: to greet us, just passed the entrance and on the threshold of section Apartment, many ping pong balls to remember the theme of this 79th edition Pitti Ping Pong. A dynamic sport, with a lot of movement, but also concentration, which is well suited to be associated with the world of fashion that summarizes these two features. And then a lot of fun: it’s summer, it’s childrenswear, it’s Pitti Bimbo!

La sezione Apartment è da sempre la mia preferita: collezioni internazionali di abbigliamento ed accessori orientate alla ricerca e rivolte a un pubblico all’avanguardia. L’allestimento della designer Ilaria Marelli è Royal Games, che ripropone il tema guida del salone mettendo in scena nobili figure di quadri settecenteschi impegnate a sfidarsi a ping pong. In questa sezione tanti brand, un solo amore: Pale Cloud, che propone una collezione più ampia e più allegra, più solare. Mi sono piaciuti molto anche CdeC Cordelia de Castellane con le sue bluse fiorate ed impalpabili, Caramel Baby & Child dal look un po’ retrò, Emile et Ida con i capi morbidissimi, Je suis en cp dall’aria romantica, Lamantine Paris & Milan, Mischka Aoki in una parola: lusso, Piccola Ludo.

Section Apartment has always been my favorite: international collections of clothing and accessories research-oriented and aimed at a sophisticated audience. The layout of the designer Ilaria Marelli is ‘Royal Games’, which returns to the main theme of the show by staging noble figures of eighteenth-century paintings committed to compete in table tennis. In this section, many brands, one love: Pale Cloud, which offers a larger and more cheerful and solar collection. I also liked CdeC Cordelia de Castellane with its flowery and impalpable blouses, Caramel Baby & Child with a retro look, Emile et Ida with its soft garments, romantic Je suis en cp, Lamantine Paris & Milan, Mischka Aoki in a word: luxury, Piccola Ludo.

Passiamo quindi alla New View: collezioni ad alto tasso creativo e marchi innovativi destinati a un pubblico esigente e che si conferma, a ogni edizione, area di sperimentazione nella moda bimbo. Ancora un layout firmato Ilaria Marelli, una divertente scenografia di carte da gioco oversize che animano i corridoi della sezione, con un sorprendente effetto scenico: castelli di carte, pattern floreali e geometrici. Impossibile affermare che ho amato un solo marchio perchè in questa sezione la mia indole di mamma alla ricerca di novità-qualità-cose belle e particolari mi ha portato a soffermarmi presso quasi tutti gli espositori.

So let’s look at the New View: collections with high creative and innovative brands for a demanding public and that is confirmed, in every edition, area of experimentation in children’s fashions. Again a layout signed Ilaria Marelli, a funny scene of oversized playing cards that enliven the corridors of the section, with a striking visual effect: a house of cards, with floral and geometric patterns. I can not say that I loved only one brand in this section because the nature of me as mother in search of novelty-quality-beautiful and unique things led me to dwell in almost all exhibitors.

Anzitutto una conferma: MAA’+Manuela de Juan. Scarpe splendide, persone altrettanto splendide che amano il loro lavoro (e si vede in quello che fanno ed in come lo fanno): Amanda, incinta al 6° mese, accoglie con la sua simpatia tutta spagnola e con il viso radiante di una quasi-mamma tutti i visitatori con un sorriso, con gentilezza, con competenza, con modestia, mentre Antonio sa spiegare il loro prodotto. Anche se in realtà non occorrono tante spiegazioni: avete mai toccato una scarpa MAA’?

First of all, a confirmation: MAA ‘+ Manuela de Juan. Beautiful shoes, equally beautiful people who love their job (and it shows in what they do and how they do it): Amanda, pregnant at the 6th month, welcomes with her Spanish sympathy and the radiant face of a almost-mom all visitors with a smile, gently, competently, with modesty, while Antonio knows very well how to explain their product. Even if you do not really need much explanation: have you ever touched a MAA’ shoe?

E poi, Milly Minis, Simple Kids, Shapes of Things, Filobio, Neil Katter, Morley, Frugoo, Chupeta, Anne Kurris, Macarons, PlumetiRain. Ve ne parlerò, uno per uno: alcuni sono per me nuove scoperte, altri conferme. Una menzione particolare per Karen Brost London: arte sui capi, bianco e nero, oro ed argento. Semplicemente, stay tuned.

And then, Milly Minis, Simple Kids, Shapes of Things, Filobio, Neil Katter, Morley, Frugoo, Chupeta, Anne Kurris, Macarons, PlumetiRain. I’ll talk about them, one by one: some are new discoveries for me, other confirmations. A special mention to Karen Brost London: art on garments, white and black, gold and silver. Simply, stay tuned.

Al New View le contaminazioni fashion trascendono il kidswear per approdare al mondo del design e dell’oggettistica, grazie al progetto kidsroomZOOM!, curato da unduetrestella di Paola Noè. In questo spazio ho incontrato con grande piacere Linea Mammababy, presentando tutta la linea ed in particolare le sue novità Clementino (amido di riso) e Mimina (salviette).

At New View fashion‘s contamination transcend kidswear moving to the world of design and decorative objects, thanks to the project kidsroomZOOM!, curated by Paola Noè’s unduetrestella. In this space I have met with great pleasure Linea Mammababy, presenting all their range of products and in particular their news, Clementino (rice starch) and Mimina (wipes).

Tra i brand della Sport Generation ho amato il brand olandese Vingino, Finger in the Nose, i sandali Mini Melissa, le scarpe Pom d’Api e 10is, oltre che incontrare anche Myths Kids (vi ricordate, ve ne ho parlato qui).

Among the brands of Sport Generation I loved the dutch brand Vingino, Finger in the Nose, Mini Melissa sandals, Pom d’Api and 10Is shoes, in addition to Myths Kids (remember, I‘ve talked about here).

Nella sezione Superstreet ho amato, oltre Supertrash Girls, il brand francese Little Eleven: ironico, allegro, colorato.

E poi il classico, la sezione Pitti Bimbo: tanti grandi marchi, di lusso e non, italiani e non. Ho amato l’atmosfera molto rock di Philippe Plein Junior, così come l’atmosfera allegra e vacanziera che ho respirato nello stand argentino di Mimo&Co. Mi sono piaciuti moltissimo Ermanno Scervino, Twin Set Simona Barbieri, La Stupenderia, Simonetta.

And then the classic section Pitti Bimbo: many big brands, luxury or not, Italian or not. I loved the very rock atmosphere at Philipp Plein Junior, as well as the cheerful atmosphere and happy ambiance that I breathed in the stand of Argentine Mimo&Co. I liked very much Ermanno Scervino, Twin Set Simona Barbieri, La Stupenderia, Simonetta.
